My friend sent me a link to your blog, and I have to admit I have spent the past hour or so reading post after post, almost on the verge of tears. It feels good to know my 2 1/2 yr old isn’t the only one with the “potty- mouth” syndrome. My husband or I will ask him to pick up his toys or things of that nature and it is, more often than not, followed by an “Alright, damnit” or just a “damnit” accompanied with an angry look (you know the kind that burn a hole right through you).

Nice to know it is not only my daughter. She likes to drop the F-Baomb in public- usually “Fucking People”. I have tried to ignore her when she uses it, told her not to say that word but no luck… let me know what works for you. It’s great having a potty mouthed 2 1/2 year old. (Douchebag was another one of her favorites & mommy’s)

Too funny!!! My 5yo dd says things like, “daddy says…” Goes to show you that there are no secrets when you have a little one :) Fortunately we haven’t had this happen in public (knock on wood).

My 2 year old granddaughter thinks that saying "Oh Shit" is the cool thing to do these days. Her mother has taught her that this is a bad word but she still continues to blurt it out now and then. I found your site after reading “Before I was a Mother….” on Yahoo, and i love your site and this one sounds like something my son and I will go through when he gets older. I’m a stay at home mom and my son will be 3 in June. He was eating lunch the other day and I dropped a glass and said shit…guess what my son said right after me….ha ha oops! : )

my nephew once told someone his name was “jesus chris, kayman”

(his name really is kayman, just to be clear. the jesus christ was obviously thanks to my sister and having 4 kids under 6…)

My stepson did the same thing when he was 4-at school! The tape player wasn’t working, so he nonchalontly said, “it’s just fucked up.” Needless to say, my husband was called in for an impromtu parent-teacher conference…..
