My little brother graduated from business school this past weekend. It’s really hard for me to believe that he’s 1. Not 12 anymore, 2. He’s engaged and 3. He’s moving to Seattle. He was a really annoying 12 year old, so that one is good, and I love his fiancee, so that one is fantastic. Seattle, though, I’m not too thrilled about. What’s wrong with the east coast?!
Anyway, on to the clothes…

I thought this was a great choice for graduation. The dress traveled well and was totally comfortable and cute. (Also, approved by all of my family.) I’ll absolutely be wearing this one again. I probably would have chosen a wedge heel, but the shoes were great for chasing the kids around. Keeping kids seated during a 3 hour graduation ceremony is kind of a joke, maybe you guys guessed that one. So, thank you.

The drive home outfit was great and best of all, I found my favorite use of all for scarves– a car-blanket! This was basically a dressed up version of my usual yoga pants outfit and a big improvement.

The car outfit here, and the graduation one here.
Hard to believe that the challenge is almost over– only three more events to dress me for a three more chances for you to win.

The black dress is classic. Keep and wear it forever. And yes, wedges would have been nice but you just can’t run in heels…
The second outfit is what I live in (and sleep in). I hope it was as comfy as it looks. The bright pop of turquoise pulls it together and makes it look like a real outfit. Cute.
Sounds like you had a great weekend.
Cheers.

Thank God they grow up, eh?

I am soooo jealous of your body. There is no way that I would be able to wear and entire line of clothes and have them all look good on me. Target should have you model for them all the time.
I think that’s the first time anyone has ever thought or said such a thing. P.S. I love you.
I can’t decide which outfit I like best!!! The dress looked knit (jersey maybe?) which I love and you can’t go wrong with yoga pants for travel. I would have never thought of wearing a scarf with them like that and it looked amazing!
You rocked both outfits! And? Your brother is quite the hottie…just sayin.
All great choices. I’d wear any of those items.
I looked for that cute striped top you wore a while back, but my Target doesn’t have it. Sad face.

Someone said they found it in clearance already, which is too bad- I loved it too!
Nice outfits. Your brother is hawt!!
I love that jewelry. And those sandals with the between the toe thing (I’m sure there’s a proper name for that) *and* a strap round the back of the heel. Who can keep flip flops on with kids?
You put yourself together very well Scary Mommy!

My husband is getting his masters degree in 2 weeks, and I’m trying to figure out how to keep a 5 and 8 year old quiet during the ceremony. It’s kind of a small school, so I’m hoping to not have to break out the DS-es.
Both outfits are great. That black wrap dress is so versatile. Good staple for the wardrobe.

Totally a good staple. I think I’ll get a lot of use out of that one.
Love the second outfit! So amazing that you can add bright colors and accessories to simple black pants and it makes an outfit looks great!

Both great outfits. Love how big, yet stylish the bag you had for graduation-great for stashing lots of things! Can this challenge continue until the end of the year? It is helping lots when we can visualize clothes we usually just see on the hangers in Target.

Both outfits look great. Flats definitely were a better choice for a 3 hour graduation ceremony.

I have been following your outfits since the beginning and I absolutely love the entire experience. I know you haven’t particularly enjoyed all the outfits they put you in but I think you are adorable in every one. Even the shorts. Thank you for sharing this with us.
The black dress looks so comfy and the blue sweater for the drive home looks great on you.
I can completely commiserate on the graduation chaos as I just took my 2 year old to a graduation. Oy vey!
