The name of my blog stems from my son referring to me as “Scary Mommy” after learning about witches in some Disney movie. Though inspired by him, the name was really quite fitting. To me, it’s the anti-perfect mommy. The mommy who despite adoring her children to death, will admit to wanting to wring their little necks. The mommy who forgets to shower until bedtime. The mommy who drives through Chic-Fil-A to get fruit for lunch rather than deal with schlepping the kids to the grocery store. In a word? Me.
