Jeff reminded me last night that not only is the year rapidly winding down, but the entire decade is. It seemed like such a big deal in 1989 and 1999, but this year, I nearly overlooked the fact. So strange to think about people reliving the ’10s and the ’20s isn’t it? Crazy, man.
Anyway, as the year wraps up and I begin to painstakingly put another year of blogging into book form, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my bests posts this year. There have been some duds, but here are my personal favorites, month by month…

June: Why you should never eat ice cream at my house (Yet another example of my husband driving me crazy)
July: The quest for the perfect photo bit me in the ass (A post that wrote itself. And my all time favorite.)
August: The Gift of Hindsight (And of single children)
September: Rated I for Inappropriate (Because I can’t bear to watch Max & Ruby)
October: Why Mommy Bloggers Shouldn’t go to Hollywood Events (Why I belong on my couch)
November: Girls, Eating Disorders, Body Image & all that crap (The most honest post I’ve ever written)
December: Biggest Parenting Failures of 2009 (Because it’s great to feel better about your own parenting skills)

I really need to start going through my year’s posts to cull out the best ones. I can’t wait to read the ones on your list, though I see that I have read most of them already. :)
I want to do that Blurb blog-to-book thing, too. Supposedly their software is now compatible with Blogger, but I wasn’t able to get it to work when I tried a few weeks ago. Will look at their FAQs and try again soon.
p.s. I still think you have the best name logo of any blog I’ve ever seen. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

And, I believe that there are other companies that are compatible with Blogger. I actually tried copying my whole blog to wordpress.com (rather than self hosted) so I could just import it, but don’t like the way it’s coming out. I’m way too much of a control freak and need to do it by hand. And I’m totally dreading the task.

I did try and include most. Not the dumb contests or really random crap, but the rest. Some pages had 2 posts, some one and some just pictures- it was a good mix.
This year, I’m not sure. I vowed to do it month by month so it didn’t become such a task, but of course never got around to that. Now it seems so daunting. Ugh!
i haven’t even been publicly blogging for a year… and now i feel totally inadequate. but i will so love reading every one of these!!!

Just added mine! Love this idea. Doubt I’d ever be able to do the book thing though…it sounds like a huge project and with my OCD tendencies, I’d either die or have a nervous breakdown trying.
What a great review! I would love to create one of my own, however, since I’ve only started my blog last month I’m not sure it would be as effective! lol
probably wouldn’t be a great idea for me to do it for two reasons:
1. i’ve only been blogging regularly since November.
2. all my posts are so damn good, i’d never be able to pick just one per month. (joke)

No, it’s not expensive in dollars at all– I think forty bucks? But, it took FOREVER. Seriously, weeks and weeks. There are sites that import automatically, but I can’t speak to the quality of the books. The one from blurb.com is beautiful!
