The Citrus Lane Box Subscription Service

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Citrus Lane

Remember the good old days… before trips to the mailbox or front door were associated with bills that needed paying, bank statements that make you break out in a cold sweat and catalogues that leave you cursing the wastefulness of retail America? Ahhhhh, those were the days.

How about we bring them back?

2Since July 2011, Citrus Lane has been brightening both mailboxes and days. Using a combination of product research, expert recommendations, and feedback from their community, the Citrus Lane Product Editors curate a monthly package of 4-5 products designed to delight both parents and little ones alike. No more researching the very best and newest gear, products, snacks and toys (from companies like Green Toys, Barefoot Books, Honest Company, Skip Hop, Plum Organics, and Aden & Anais) — you’ll get them delivered straight to your doorstep.

Boxes are designed for kids aged from newborn to five years old, worth at least $29 in retail value, and shipping is always free. (Discounted rates are currently available for multi-month subscriptions.)

Not a fan of surprises? Want to pick the goodies yourself? The newly launched Citrus Lane Shop is stocked with hundreds of the most popular toys, books, puzzles, and care products and open to everyone, not just subscribers.

My kids attacked this month’s box before I could even oversee the opening. Amazingly, even at six, eight and ten, they all made off with something to play with (lunch box turned rainbow loom holder for Lily, frisbee for Ben and make your own airplanes for Evan.) I think there may have been some cookies in there, too, based on evidence I later found in the trash, but I’ve never gotten a straight answer on that.

There’s a reason why Citrus Lane is now the largest monthly box service to parents in the US, having delivered over a million products to happy parents and children; because they’re the best! Want to try them out? Use the code #SCARYMOMMY to receive $15.00 off your first box subscription as well as $15.00 to spend in the shop, or enter below for a box designed for your newborn to five year old…

I’ve always been really interested in these, but have been to iffy to spend the money. Thanks for reviewing. Between that and the discount I’m going to give it a go :)

I did Citrus Lane for 6 months and really enjoyed it. Although, much of the stuff wasn’t age appropriate for my child. A lunch box for a 1 year old? They will sign you up for auto renewal and you won’t be able to get out of it once the 6 months are up, so make sure you contact them and tell them you don’t want to renew. That part was easy, but then didn’t send me my sixth and final box. Hmmm…

For the most part I love Citrus Lane. I’ve been introduced to some things that my daughter absolutely loves by them. Stuff that I wouldn’t have bought on my own.
Granted some months’ boxes have been a little disappointing, overall I really like it. They can’t please everyone all the time.

I cancelled my subscription after getting the same three items month after month. It was great in theory, but there are only so many bpa-free bowl sets I need. It just wasn’t worth keeping the subscription for me.
