I told you my children were geniuses. Check out these masterpieces! I asked them to paint a heavy set Danish woman selling apples, a cheerful butterfly and a wicked maiden with long braids and an hourglass figure. They nailed it.
{The above was meant to be read with a high amount of sarcasm. Just in case that wasn’t completely obvious.}

Haha! Love it. I’ve seen “art” at the Tate Modern much worse, (not that your kids’ art isn’t genius) that had the art snobs standing around, chins in hands, oohing and ahhing over how “wonderful” it was.
These are masterpieces! I love flasback friday…wonder if my confessional post counts? since i copied and pasted it today…
I totally think your children are all creative geniuses. Drop science and math and get them to take art all the time – morning, noon, and night! ;-)
What? You mean you don’t SEE IT?! I’m shocked. Looks perfect to me. My flashback is from my first blog… when no one was reading. LOL!
Brilliant – Just Brilliant…
But, I will admit, those ink blots are a bit creepy at 7:30 in the morning when one is not running on a full tank of coffee.
The fact that you saw those things in their pictures may be kinda scary in itself! The fact that I saw them too makes me worry. :)
Awesome! I think I’m going to join the Par-Tay!

Frame it, and you’re rich!
I’m going to play…just have to decide on a post…

I like art projects with the kids. I just wish they weren’t so messy. LOL
I totally see the Danish woman selling apples… although maybe it could also be interpreted as a mad cockatoo? This is fun!
I’ve tried, and tried to see a cockatoo and I just can’t. It’s a Danish lady, damn it!! ;)
I can totally see all those things. And these are very pretty.
And I bet they’re all framed and hanging in your hallway! I’ve got some like that that are. Love it!
I could totally see the danish woman with the apples. Too funny. I can’t play along yet though because my mom is still the only one reading my blog… I think she reads it, well her and my wife. I believe she only reads it because she’s my “editor”.
Yes I see it. They take direction really well. When is the NYC gallery opening?
HA! Danish Woman selling apples! LOL! It totally does look like that, too! HILARIOUS! Those are actually quite well done, though!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are great
Oh my gosh. That is so funny Jill! Those children of yours are GENIUSES : ) for sure : )
Okay, anyone who doesn’t get that as sarcasm should have their computers taken away! :) I mean, really…
I remember this post… loved it! You’ve got little Jackson Pollacks on your hands!
Oh I can totally see those! LOVE them! Yep, your kids are truly geniuses! ;)

I love these! Your descriptions are perfect! I saw every one perfectly!
The first one reminds me of Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars. The second I would say n evil clown, and the third…my ex-wife casting evil spells on me. Actually, I like your interpretations much better, as mine kinda show how messed up I must be!

LOL, yes. I’m no shrink but I’d say you have issues. :)
i’m sure they get their artistic nature from their mother!
your blog is looking awesome these days. i guess it’s been a while since i stopped by, but i love how it is all looking… especially the little excerpt boxes of your older posts (that is what those are, right??).
take it easy.
Danish woman selling apples….I LOVE that!!!!!!!
Totally see each of them. Totally.
Why have I never been here before? Love your writing and photos. Thanks for stopping by my place.
See ya around.
I love it! I see all of them!!
I saw everything and those should have been sold!
Did people really not get the tone of your humor on this one?

Almost *nobody* got it. Maybe they just didn’t want to offend me, but the post was a major flop. At least I cracked myself up.
Who could misinterpret this? Fine art is inexplicable to *some* people…..
;)
i totally see it!!! :) they are in fact GENIUS!
