      <description><![CDATA[I know many of us ladies suffer from migraines, and I'm really stuck. My obgyn had me stop all preventative medications for my migraines, which I understood and prescribed me fiorcet, which worked wonders! Well it did. Now not so much. Now I went to an appt on the third day of my migraine, I think they finally understood, so they referred me to a different neurologist hopefully he can help. So I went to google, and it seems the generally consensus is that nothing is safe to take while pregnant. So I'm now looking for safe natural remedies, which I'm coming up with shit I'm already doing, dark room, ice pack to the neck, etc...<br />I need help badly, I could loose my job, if a. I don't get fmla (haven't been there a year until late June) b. I keep getting sick I stare at a computer screen all day, while talking on the phone, which doesn't help the migraine at all. <br />Has someone gone through this? Is there anything I can do? little tricks that will help? <br />I literally have no pto and if I loose my job I loose my insurance. ]]></description>

Is there even any scientific proof that labour starts after a sweep BECAUSE of the sweep and not just a coincidence like all the old wives tales? ]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[This is really just about an argument with my Mother, which is so common and sad. ;)&nbsp; <br><br>We are sick this week.&nbsp;&nbsp; DS 15's friend comes over a lot, he lives nearby and has some issues at home so he often spends the night.&nbsp; Well he showed up coughing his head off (I didn't have the heart to send him home) and sure enough, within a couple days, DS was complaining of a sore throat.&nbsp; Then DW gets it right before her last final so she was feeling miserable and trying to study.&nbsp; Now it has hit me, horrible sinus congestion and sore throat and some sneezing seems to be the thing.&nbsp;&nbsp; DD is the only one in the family (at age 10) who sometimes escapes unscathed when a virus hits the house.&nbsp; There are five of us total and whatever gets "brought home" makes the rounds then we're all better. <br><br>Also, and I don't know if it matters but people always bring this up so I thought I'd mention it, it does SEEM to occur more often when there are drastic weather changes.&nbsp; We had a period of cold snaps, with rain, then it got hellishly hot literally overnight... it went from a high of 72 to a high of 97!&nbsp; typical for this part of Texas but it does SEEM that we are more likely to catch something when the weather has not been consistent.&nbsp; Could be imagination. <br><br>So my mother always says "Why are you guys ALWAYS SICK?" with the implication that something is wrong on a deeper level around here and I just don't think we are "always" sick, but I figure it happens with a normal frequency considering there are five of us in a small apartment and we have a lot of contact with the outside world.&nbsp; Often six of us, if&nbsp; you count DS's friend who is here about half the time. <br><br>We have 2 kids in public school, plus DW and I are both in school on different college campuses. I know for a fact that other students don't think twice about showing up for class very ill, coughing all through a lecture.&nbsp; We grocery shop probably 2 or 3 times a week, and run other errands, and then have people "dropping by" all the time, friends of the family and friends of the kids.&nbsp; Isn't this why we'd catch more crap than, say, a 70 year old woman who lives alone with her pets and grocery shops only every 2 weeks and hardly has visitors? <br><br>Like I said, stupid argument, but she always reacts like there is something *I*, as the main MOM should be doing differently and like I am responsible.&nbsp; It annoys me.&nbsp; So I wondered, how often, if you've noticed, do you and yours bring home some bug from the outside world?&nbsp;&nbsp; I'm referring mainly to cold like viruses.&nbsp;&nbsp; I don't know what our numbers are but it seems to be for sure when the weather shifts in spring and again in fall, plus a couple more times during traditional cold/flu season in winter. <br><br>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[<p>In case there is anybody who is not aware, most major drug stores and supermarkets, as well as Target and Wal-Mart have a list of generic prescription drugs (for all sorts of conditions) that they sell for super cheap (often $4 per month or $10 for 3 months).&nbsp;&nbsp;The lists are difficult to find on their web sites, and you may have to ask for them, but they're worth it.&nbsp; Whenever anyone in my family goes to the doctor, we take along the&nbsp;generic list for our drugstore.&nbsp; If the doctor wants to write us a prescription, we hand her the list and ask that she make her choice from medications on the list.&nbsp; If you don't ask her to do this, she may have a tendency to prescribe the latest and greatest drug (which will be expensive because it has not yet gone generic, and often works no better than something that IS on the generic list).</p><p>If you have insurance with prescription drug coverage, please be aware that it is often cheaper to pay for these drugs directly yourself, rather than go through insurance and pay the copay ($4 versus a $10-20 copay).</p><p>Also, ask your doctor if she can provide you with a free manufacturer's sample of the drug.&nbsp; The drug companies all send butt-loads of drug samples to doctors' offices.&nbsp; If there's a chance she may have to switch you to another drug, or if you only need a few pills (like the week's worth of pills you typically take if put on antibiotics), this could get you your drugs for free.</p>]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[My feet/ankles are horribly swollen. The arch on my left (of course it's the left) foot is almost non existent. Yes, I walked a lot yesterday. Over 11,000 steps. My left ankle has been swelling randomly for about a year now. It has never been this bad though. I have talked to my Drs. and physical therapy in the past. They just said it was basically due to a lack of muscle strength and lack of activity of that leg. I think that's bullshit but wtf do I know. <br /><br />Anyway, does anyone have any magical ideas of how to make it to the fuck away? I soaked my feet in ice water for an hour yesterday when I got home and an hour today when I got home. It hasn't made a difference. I am keeping it elevated. I've always believed that all of the things women try to bring on labour, don't actually work. If you're at the end of your pregnancy and you're eating spicy food, pineapple, having sex and whatever else then chances are, you're gonna go into labour while you're doing one of them right? Well, I would like to give this lazy baby a helping hand and sex is the only thing I didn't try last pregnancy. Can somebody please tell me they had sex and the baby shot right out afterwards!?       <description><![CDATA[Hey guys  :) <br />Well I had a MC about 8 months back and since then my periods have been up and down by 1-2 days every month... Me an my DH are ttc but no luck.. :(( This month I was sure I'm preggers I had all symptoms like the last time and most important I was late, me being me a little too hasty tested too early and got a negative test result. After 10 days I tested and still negative.. Then period decided to show up. How will I know how to work out my ovulating time being 40 day on the cycle this month? <br />I'm sooo upset knowing I'm yet again not pregnant this month  :( <br />Can anyone please give some advise?]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[They are both sick. My grandma had surgery a few months ago to remove cancer from her lung. Now she is in the hospital because she has pneumonia.  My mom has thyroid problems. She had some kind of treatment to help it calm down a little bit and it worked too well now its not functioning at all. She has been getting sicker and sicker she's always exhausted her voice is so hoarse and now she's telling me that she feels like she can barely walk or move her arms. I am so worried about both of them, but I can't do anything because I'm stuck all the way down here. I'm so worried about both of them especially my mom because she keeps getting sicker and sicker. I don't even know what to do at this point I feel like I'm going crazy I wish I could go back to New York right now but we just don't have the money right now to do that. I'm hoping my moms doctors can find a medicine that works.sorry this is so long I just had to get it out anybody have any thyroid issue experience.?]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[So I took dd6 to her yearly check-up last week. They mentioned that she has a "very loud" heart murmur and want her to be seen by a cardiologist ASAP. <br /><br />I was told she had a "very faint" one at her last check-up and they suggested getting it looked at but didn't make it out to be a big deal. I scheduled an appointment for her and they gave me an appointment 6 months later which is apparently the usual wait time.  Because of other things going on at that time I completely forgot about the appointment and never rescheduled it. (Yup huge mommy fail) <br /><br />This time though her pediatrician must have put in a rush order for the exam or something. When I got a call to schedule the appointment they said they want to see her right away. She goes on May 16th which is the earliest opening they had available and its over an hour drive but they said they don't want me to wait until June which is the earliest the location closer to me has an opening!<br /><br />Gah!!! Nothing like scaring the crap out of a momma! <br /><br />I do NOT want to google because then I'd probably be speeding to the ER demanding an exam immediately. <br /><br />So... I know a murmur is an echo in the heart. What else do I need to know? ]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[I'm 33 weeks now, and I've reached the point where I'm dying to go back on my meds. I've managed ok so far with weekly therapy but I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my grip. I know that pregnancy adds to my mood swings, but trust me this is not just hormones. I've made it this far without meds with one hospitalization but I'm becoming pretty erratic now. Anyone else with these issues? It's something I can't really discuss with anyone in my life because even if they try to understand I know they can't fully.]]></description>

I just got over/getting used to the painful nipples but now the muscles are starting to hurt. it feels like i have a milk duct that is in need of getting released but when I massage it i do not feel the duct.       <description><![CDATA[I live in Maine &amp; have just now (@30) realized that Maine men must be different then most other men- well some others. I am overweight- my BMI says that I am obese. When I first met DH a little over 10yrs ago I weight 180. I looked good, men hit on me, women would tell me how beautiful I was. I had curves &amp; was soft, but men up here like that. I don't know of a single man who wants a stick. In fact most women with no 'curves' are the ones that get left alone. I now weigh 209. Yes I am bigger, but I really don't feel the need to lose weight, it would be great to be back down to 180 or even as low as 160, depending. I don't like the look of when you get to skinny your face starts to sink in. I am a medium build so maybe that's why I look better bigger&nbsp;then being skinny. I eat healthy(mostly) but it's more bc I don't want DS's to have weight issues growing up. We go hiking &amp; canoeing, walks, bike rides. I'm active &amp; don't feel ashamed that I have a little extra, lol. I still get checked out &amp; hit on.&nbsp;two years ago I weighed 260(&nbsp; :-S ) I went to the DR bc no matter what I did I couldn't lose the weight &amp; I was not active &amp; realized I couldn't do what some of the kids wanted me too. I was ready to have WL surgery (I hate surgery so this was desperate). Dr ran some test &amp; it turns out I had a thyroid problem. It was still hard but at lest it was coming off. After DH moved back in I was seeing a therapist who diagnosed me with depression. For a yr I struggled to lose weight, but it was still a hard process. I tried Atkins, WW, even JC.&nbsp;But the thing that got the weight falling off? It was a post on FaceBook that said Eat healthy &amp; you don't need to diet. It's true, lose the scale, eat healthy &amp; you'll become more energetic &amp; before you know it your jeans will feel loser, then they will be falling off so you need to buy a size smaller. I guess I went off topic-anyway what do men in your area like? ]]></description>

      <description><![CDATA[Most of you may not know this, but I work from home making wedding cakes. I absolutely love it. Its the most rewarding and the most stressful job I've ever had. I couldn't imagine supporting my family any other way. Recently I've been having some complications with this pregnancy, and im only at the almost 16 week mark. My doctor can't figure out what is wrong with me. The baby seems fine, but for some reason I have woken up twice now, sitting in a pool of blood. So for the next 5 weeks, I have been put on bed rest. Which means ive had to have a good friend of mine take over my business for a little while. I'm really upset about it. I love my job and I'm extremely obsessed with getting everything perfect. While my friend does do a great job with her cakes, she doesn't have the eye for small details like I do. I know that sounds rude, and believe me, &nbsp;I'm so grateful she came to my rescue. I just wish I could fix whatever is wrong with me so I can get back to my life. I'm so afraid of losing this baby. If bed rest is what I gotta do to keep it, then thats absolutely what I will do. Praying for a miracle here.]]></description>

What other side effects have you SMs experienced? Is it weird that I am already experiencing side effects?  Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks]]></description>
