Stupid Junkie Thieves
-
I got a call from my uncle this morning that my Dad's house and garage were broken into this morning or last night. Dad passed away in August. I had taken a few meaningful things out, but left the rest to slowly sort through. The house was trashed, everything turned upside down. He was a mechanic, tens of thousands of dollars worth of tools, two huge tool chests, and two Chevy V-8 engines were stolen.
When I talked to the police, they said they had a couple of leads and confirmed that they too thought someone had stolen the stuff to sell to a junkyard, most likely for drug money. All the junkyards have been notified and chances are good they will be arrested (finger prints were lifted as well) and I might get MY stuff back. I still am overwhelmingly angry and feel so violated. If I saw a puppy, I'd kick the fucking thing...seriously, I'm that mad. Just had to vent ladies. And if I suddenly disappear its because I caught up with the junkies before the cops did and I'm in prison for murder. -
Glad there are no puppies around!!
Hope you hear from he police soon and your things are returned. Maybe it's time to start sorting through his things and get them out of the house ...
>:D<I love purple; I love cats. Imagine if cats were purple ... -
I have no room at my house for all of his stuff. My house is on the market right now so when it sells we can move into his. We're not living there because he died in that house and I'm not ready to be there. It gets checked daily and a cop lives next door. It was chained AND padlocked. I just don't get it...

I know where you are coming from @megsue
When DH was coming across country from San Diego to VA, he stopped at my parents house. Sometime in the night, some assholes cut the u-haul trailer off his truck, took everything except his uniforms and dumped the trailer in a church parking lot. We had my late grandmothers beautiful bedroom set in there and a ton of other stuff, a loss of $37,000. I was devastated.
To make matters worse, DH had to go through a check because he had so much military gear ie: Kevlar vests and it's a big no-no to sell that kind of stuff.
Never found any of it. I checked Craigslist, eBay, my dad went to flea markets and wrote to military surplus stores to keep an eye out. Totally sucks, I'm sorry. -
That sucks @runbitchrun. I had my kevlar stolen too when I was in te Coast Guard, never found that either. I just hope whoever stole it liked wearing female Kevlar what was fitted to my boobies /:)
I'll find out who it was, this is too small a town for me not to. You can't get away with much. Like I said, I hope the cops get 'em first!! -
@ megsue I love to think that there is some stupid guy wearing your female vest wondering, "why is there so much room up top?". :)
