20 weeks with decreased fetal movement?

I'm roughly 20 weeks pregnant (depending on my EDD).

I've felt the baby move little pokes and tickles the past few weeks but only down low/to the side due to the fact that my placenta is anterior.

I'm worried because two days prior to this I've felt lighter and less frequent movements and today I've hardly felt any.

I'm at the office so I can't drink something cold and sweet and lay down.

I've had some sweet things and some cold drinks. I've poked my tummy and massaged it trying to get baby to move around or boot me lol but so far no luck.

I know I'm not supposed to be worried but I am. Anyone have anything similar to share? I don't want to have to phone down to the doctor and have him say everything is fine.

    wake up baby!

My daughter didn't move a ton, not even if I drank a coke.  I did find that if I laid on my stomach that I could feel her more (I could still lay on my stomach then...).

If you're worried go ahead an call your doctor.  Remember, it's their job to listen to all of your worries.  If anything it'll soothe your concerns a little.

I don't remember a lot of movement at 20 weeks, but @KATANON is right, talk to your OB.

Call you OB, that's what they are there for and they get so many calls from worried expectant mothers, they are used to it!

Call your dr anyway, they are use to this situation and can answer your questions and offer suggestions.
If they seem worried they will tell you to come in to be checked.

They're still pretty small at 20 weeks, so s/he could have just move so you feel the movement less, especially with an anterior placenta. But if it's stressing you, call your dr, they may listen for the heartbeat to reassure you.

My son moved all the dang time, and then he just quit for an entire day. Freaked me out like none other. Called the OB, went in for a check up. He was fine. She told me sometimes they just need a break, and after going for the gold everyday, that sometimes they just go through a long sleep spell.

Call the OB for peace of mind. But I bet everything is okay :) Don't worry!

thanks for the comments everyone. She did start moving around much more today. Just worried me a bit. I know they're still so small at this point so I just tried to wait it out.  And everything was fine. (just had that nagging feeling 'what if its not ok'?)

    Thanks again:)

It's hard not to worry. However in many cases regular fetal movement is not felt unt after 24 weeks depending on how many pregnancies you have had. We tell patients to do fetal kick counts after 28 weeks because viability depending on where you are can be 24 weeks and over. You can always makes an appt to hear the babies heart beat if that will help decrease worries.

I know they say don't worry but I'm right there with you. IDK if I'm having a boy or girl yet but my little one went from twisting and turning all the time to kicking to hardly anything. I'm also 20 weeks. It totally FREAKED me out but when I get into certain positions it moves and sometime it likes to do it when your sleeping. So my advice just try to relax and pay closer attention and it will move when its good and ready lol.
