So I am sitting at the kitchen table watching DH pull the sliding screen door off the track to fix the screen and I have to say...it's pretty hot watching him be all handy. Not that he's not handy, he is, we've just put off taking care of smaller things around the house because he's been traveling a lot lately.
Anywho...just wanted share that I think DH is an even bigger hottie when he's being all handy. Which means I'll be very handy tonight. ;)I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out! -
I'm the handy man in my marriage, I think I would faint if my dh fixed something that wasn't computer based lol.
-
We're both pretty handy...but I'm more of a builder and I let him do more of the demo. LOL I leave tinkering with appliances to him though.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
Mine is pretty handy and I agree, it's kind of hot to watch. :\">
-
The user and all related content has been deleted.well behaved women seldom make history
-
He'd laugh if he knew I said anything let alone posted about. I snuck a quick pick with my iPad....just have to figure out how to upload it.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
I was the handy man around the house he was just clueless! Now he is the guy that everyone calls when something breaks at work. :-/ So he does know how to fix things but for some reason as soon as he gets home his " fixing brain " goes @-)" Wibbly wobbly timey wimey ......." The Doctor
" I'm a leafe on the wind..watch how I soar ." Wash :((
" Oh the wall had it comming.' Sherlock Holmes
yea I am geek !! -

My hottie! Lol :xI'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out! -
my exfiance is/was so NOT handy, I think it shocked him that I would do things for myself...words cannot even begin to describe how UN-HANDY he is...Bite me, cupcake!
-
I am like @CanadianMama I am with a geek. Anything electronic or computer... but God forbid him using a hammer, paint brush or lawnmower. Or check the oil in the cars... Yeah that is all me. New furniture = me putting it together while he takes the kids OUT lolIt is for me to know and you to dot dot dot.
-
My DH is super handy, I don't have a pic of him in action fixing anything I don't think... I know I do have a pic of him with our little red wagon that he welded a "lift kit" for and put big tires on. He's extremely proud of this wagon. He put it on FB and waited for people to make comments. It cracked me up! He can fix ANYTHING though. He's kinda amazing and watching him fix things is the hottest thing ever!! From Harleys to air conditioners to wagons, he's got it under control.

-
OMG! my Dh is so sexy when he is wearing his tool belt! I love watching him fix and.build things! I alway wanna jump him!
-
Being a "handy man" is my complete and utter disgrace to my man card, hand me a field surgical kit and I can stop a person from bleeding out, hand me a wrench and a screw driver the leaking dish washer will leak more.
@TorturedbyTWINS Is your DH related to Billy Mayes? First thing that popped into my head when I saw his arms up and the beard(I'm completely fucking jelous of it by the way) is "Hi Billy Mayes here with a special Tv offer" .You show the lights that stop me turn to stone, You shine it when I'm alone. And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone. -
@FoulMouthedSailor LMAO, when he has a beard he gets that from time to time. Without his beard he looks kinda mean and people seem to be intimidated. He has a very aggressive jaw line, so I made him grow out his beard for job interviews. He landed a job and he has shaven and is back to his mean looking self... I like hairy guys, so I don't mind either way!

-
@TorturedbyTWINS I bet he looks menacing on his motorcycle... Now I'm super envious of his beard, MC club vest, and superior handy man welding skills. You show the lights that stop me turn to stone, You shine it when I'm alone. And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone. -
@FoulMouthedSailor it's okay he can let you borrow his man card for fixing things. He's the type of guy that other men immediately start following and asking for help. He's insanely nice though and superbly intelligent. He went to MSU and is so well rounded. And seriously if you ever need help fixing something (this goes for all of ya out there) you can PM me and I will ask the manly man his opinion. He's still working right now as a matter of fact :-( Fixing air conditioning in Phoenix during summer is a really loooooonnnggg day.
-
@TorturedbyTWINS ouch, I just felt a phantom kick to balls reading that, my pride just dropped a few notches.
Now I'm gonna go down to Lowes and read all those do it yourself books to increase my manliness. But Dw is really good at fixing stuff, she put in a new wax seal and internal plumbing in the commode in our first apartment, I would have called a plumber
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone, You shine it when I'm alone. And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone. -
I told DH about this thread last night...HA! I made him blush!
@torturedbytwins That wagon is awesome! We used to sell them at the hardware store I worked. They could be real bitches to get together.
@foulmouthedsailor I think fixing people is pretty damn handy. A clogged toilet or leaking dishwasher don't mean anything if you're dead. :-)
Swinging a hammer has got to be my favorite thing in the world! My dad was a carpenter for a long time and he used to give us scrap wood, a hammer, some nails and we'd go to town. Woodshop in HS was great. I wish I could've taken it all 4 years. :-/ Damn you "college track"!I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out! -
Sexy, sexy, sexy! My DH isn't handy -- but he tries. My parents bought him a laserlevel when we moved into our firstplace, and somehow, the towel racks ended up crooked. (Didn't need a level to see that.:-) I do the appliance repairs around the house (Thank you internet!!), and I can do a little electrical work. DH is great with the lawn, great with the laundry, great on the Fiddle and Bass, and great in the kitchen. And that's not the only place he "cooks"! That manual dexterity from 40+ years of string instruments pays off for me big-time! :\">
-
My ex was handy, however it came with a constant stream of obscenities, more of a turn off really.
-
My SO is pretty handy. He is the hottest when he is working on cars *drool*. Unfortunately, the smell of car fluids makes me sick. So, I just watch from a distance lol. But I think I just like watching his bulging muscles...
@foulmouthedsailor, saving people's lives is pretty fucking hot too! -
@FoulMouthedSailor No phantom kick to the balls was intended! LOL First off, you wear the hot uniform, then you save lives. He can't do that. Everyone respects your job and admires you, everyone is scared of my man. He couldn't do your job because he doesn't like taking orders from anyone and although his dad was a marine, he's not cut out for it. If it came to the "zombie apocolypse" you would both be ultra handy, but your skills would be in higher demand.
From my DH: he says put your man card on the work bench and beat it with a hammer, it will make it slightly bigger and it'll look tougher.
I told him your man card has blood on it, so it's plenty tough enough!
-
It is for me to know and you to dot dot dot.
-
@TorturedbyTWINS took me a minute to find it but my friend made this picture and it best describes what we do

And the closest thing I have to a work bench in the table I paint models on
:)) An you never know fixing things during a zombie apocalypse is pretty damn useful, generators, cars, and types of stuff still need up keep.
@French_mom It actually made me laugh, I think I have a Man Crush now.
You show the lights that stop me turn to stone, You shine it when I'm alone. And so I tell myself that I'll be strong
And dreaming when they're gone. -
wait a minute @torturedbytwins, aren't you in AZ? I may just take you up on that offer!!!Bite me, cupcake!
-
DH is super handy, and for the most part I'm so grateful... The BAD thing about living with a handyman? The littlest glitch in anything in your house becomes a huge project/ordeal. When we got the boys bunkbeds, the drawers were on the wrong side of the staircase... and instead of just switching them around, he took the ENTIRE bed apart piece.by.piece. We got them for Christmas 2011.. They got to sleep in them for the first time LAST NIGHT. hahaha! Oh and the dishwasher clogged.. instead of cleaning the trap and flushing the drain.. entire.dishwasher.dismembered. Still, it works better now, and their beds are WAY better built, so I'm not complaining :D (too much).
He's also a HUGE car buff, builds MiniTrucks from the ground up.. but it took him 3 months to change the brakes on my SUV. lol so there ARE disadvantages! But yes, SUPERFUCKINGHOT to watch him work :D :D
-
@complicatedmom Thankfully, DH knows when to throw in the towel...and knows when things are best left to professionals! LOLI'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
My dh is super handy, too. We have a leak in the pipe from the well to the water tank, and he is currently working on digging a 4 ft deep trench through the laundry room, then will rent a trencher to dig the hole out in the yard all the way to the well. And he will be able to get it all done.
Downside, he tends to be pretty slow at getting to stuff and finishing them. But he can work on cars, too, so that saves us tons of money. And he can do huge projects that would just scare me off!
Love the hubby pics...I don't have any of dh to post. But he is way older, more bald and gray than the other pics...LOL! Still smokin hot, though!
-
@BellaBefana yes we are in Phoenix, so if you need anything shoot me a PM or use my email addy that you can get when you click on my name. AC work is his specialty and it's always good to know someone in this town especially since it's so freaking hot!
His mission when he gets home today is to fix a leaking sink faucet. The drip drip drip is driving me crazy crazy crazy!
-
@CallieFlower82 Haha, yeah DH missed that part of the HandyMan Training manual!
-
My dh is a carpenter who love cars. I can't even imagine how many thousands his handyness has save us. He looks so darn competent fixing things, it makes me feel really taken care of. And my heart just melts when dd is 'helping' him.
Yesterday he let her help him drywall mud in the basement. It'll take him forever to sand her mud mess off, but she was so proud. -
*giggles* my husband is not handy, well he thinks he is. It kind of reminds me of tim taylor from home improvement. He acts like he can do anything, and when he's done I'm so worried that ill have To call an actual handy man to come fix his oops. He tries which is nice but somedays its almost like I want to tell him to just leave it alone. He has a long track record of "fixing" things that go horribly wrong. But I still love him. He's still sexy lol. Just not w tools in his hands!Without reason you have Rhythm and Rhyme the type of girl who knows how to have a good time... You take what you want except no for an answer... And I know first hand you're one hell of a dancer... So calling all cars and low and behold you're a real livewire with a heart of gold
-
I think part of the appeal is in the confidence...like I could watch DH work a sound board and run around tweaking mics and wires all day. It's incredibly sexy to watch someone in their element.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
Lol Foulmouthedsailor installed a ceiling fan one time and only the fan part worked. I had to fix it I don't trust him around electrical wiring. But least I never have to go to the er if I need stitches or have a broken finger.
-
DH is super handy, and it turns me on to no end. He had his own drywall crew awhile back (too bad the bottom dropped out on construction around here) and I loved the way he looked and smelled when he got home. Call me crazy, but sweaty, hard-working man trumps any cologne out there!! And oh to watch that man swing a hammer!! *swoon*
"I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." ~Audrey Hepburn -
@orchidsandtulips Welcome, firstly! DH is sketchy when it comes to hanging stuff on the walls. He'll insist on using one type of wall hanger when a different type would be better. Shit is always crooked or falling off the wall. I love him for trying. LOL
We could use someone handy at stitches and setting bones. DS2 has been to the ER twice in a month's time already. I have feeling those trips will be drops in the bucket...he is whirling catastrophe.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out! -
@complicatedmom....my husband does the mini trucks too!!!I love watching my hubs weedeat the fence and the house omg its literally drool worthy when he does. Maybe its the smell of the grass and watching him get sweaty that does it idk but I sure do like to watch!!You are not my thong, so get out of my ass!!
-
I'm glad I'm not the only one with a modified wagon! I do home daycare and a double stroller doesn't always cut it. I needed to be able to transport 4, so dh modified a garden cart for me. It has working headlights and gets lots of reactions!
http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t511/trish_n/0a1dda15.jpg -
I'm the handy one in our marriage... he's a jewelry salesman, i worked for both lowes and home dept... in fact i just completely embarrassed the electrician that was here by correcting him and sort of chewed him a new poop chute when he kept asking/ explaining what he needed to do to only dh even after he directed the electrician to me because i know more...Im pretty extraordinary in an ordinary way
-
@Katescrazymom what a cool wagon!! Looks like your DH is super handy! I am scared to show that tto my DH because we might end up with some version of a monster truck wagon. I'm kinda happy with the version we have. He gets absorbed in projects for hours and days on end. The good part is we don't have a ton of half finished projects sitting around. Well, except for mine of course, almost all mine are half done.
I vote for more pics of handsome hubbies working up a sweat!
-
@MistyStacy_2010 :) I don't get it.. I'm a country girl and I like big trucks with big tires and lots of mud (to look at, my SUV stays mud-free!!), but I love to watch him work on them!!
-
@complicatedmom I don't get it either, I love a jeep and well you can't lower a jeep without it looking stupid hahaha, but he likes them and it keeps him out of my hair and gives me some awesome eye candy to drool over so who am I to complain hahahYou are not my thong, so get out of my ass!!
-
@TourturedbyTWINS. Once he got the idea he worked until 1:00 am two work nights in a row. I'm pretty sure he's OCD. I just wish it would kick in on the basement!
-
@Katescrazymom he already has their power wheels picked out and they are about a year away from being remotely capable of driving one. He also has the plans to change them up a bit.
@Complicatedmom & @mistystacy_2010 Don't get me wrong, I'm a country girl through and through but we already have a lifted jeep with off road wheels, and Ford F150 FX 400 that's lifted with the wheels and everything is big and muddy around here. I kind of wanted the traditional red wagon (lift and tires were great) but I still want it to look like a wagon. He can redneckerize the power wheels someday. He just gets so absorbed in his projects, he works six days a week for 12 hours or more and I kinda miss the man a bit. :-) Sometimes I have to remind him that I'm something he has to work at to keep happy too!
-
Redneckerize????? that is my new favorite word!!! Love love love it
My husband likes lifted and lowered. He just likes something that he has customized to fit his taste lol as long as its a clean job he will like it. But I love watching him get out and get sweaty. Nothing sexier imo than a man who knows his way around a tool box!You are not my thong, so get out of my ass!!
