If you could only use one condiment (not including salt and pepper) for life- which would you choose?

For me: hot sauce. Screw ketchup, or mustard or relish.... I need me my spicy!

    Salsa!

Or maybe a nice smokey barbecue sauce.... It's a toss up.

Hot sauce. Most definitely. I have a hot sauce addiction. The fridge is a showcase for my hot sauce collection. You need different kinds depending upon what you're eating/cooking! :)

Thats a hard one... Danish Dill Mustard sauce, or those little bottles of Tabasco sauce that comes in mre's. They taste better than the huge bottles of Tabasco.

Soy Sauce is number one for sure, and Mayo is a very close second.

I hope avocado doesn't qualify as a condiment--I often eat a whole one as a meal. I put sriracha on that, too!

I do too, but if you smash it then it could count as a condiment, IMO. ;)  My boys love sriracha (sp?), they eat it on every freaking thing!

Sriracha is counted as a hot sauce in my book!!!!

Cheese isn't a fair condiment- because duh, that's not a fair fight.

If cheese, butter and avocado are condiments then I CAN'T CHOOSE- it's just to painful.

Otherwise it's Sour Cream!! But salsa is a close second.

DH, DD and DS would choose tomato sauce (Ketchup) I swear they put tomato sauce on tomato sauce.

Cheese and avocado are food... NOT condiments. I could make cheese and avocado into a meal (or at least a very hearty snack) all by themselves. Though tasty, I cannot say the same thing for ketchup or mustard!

hotsauce lovers!! This is my DS9 and my favorite hot sauce i make at home :
1 CAN OF TOMATILLOS drained (about 10 small ones come in can)
    9 arbol chiles
    1/4 white onion
1 can whole tomatoes w juice
1 tsp chick bouillon (to taste)
Toast arbol chiles on stove top try not to burn them take stems off then blend w juice fr can of tomatoes and onion w chik bouillon. Once blended well, add tomatillos and tomatoes and either blend completely smooth or just a lil for it to be chunky. We like it hot but if u dont I guess 3 arbols would be mild. If you use fresh tomatoes and tomatillos, make sure you boil till soft.. fresh tomatoes in this taste wierd to me.

Thank god cheese and butter don't count.
I would probably pick mayo...just because there is too much you can't do without mayo.
If we are talking about condiments as only things you put on TOP of other things (and they aren't considered condiments if they are used in the MAKING of the dish), I would say mustard.
