Anyone else have this problem in your second trimester? It's like my throat and nose are just covered and clogged with freaking slime! At night I have to sleep with a cough drop in my mouth to keep from choking on my own spit. It causes me to cough and my gag reflex to act up. Ugh, it's miserable!

check, you might be able to take some Benedryl too, that'll help dry it up, but yeah, it's a bitch. Also, saline nasal rinses will help...Bite me, cupcake!

The DROOL and the sweat under my boobs and in-between my legs not to mention the hips and no stomach muscles and bloated legs and morning sickness and achy boobs and skin tags and pregnancy mask and reflux and gestational diabetes and thyroid and blood tests and and and I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff, pregnancy sucks!!! I had wonderful visions of happy glowing women - LIES ALL LIES ! When I had DD and told my SO I wanted another - he raised one eyebrow and ask "Do you really wanna go through THAT again?"

You could try a steroid nasal spray like Nasonex. I had very swollen mucous membranes from about 8 weeks on, and the nasal spray helped until the very end of the pregnancy, when nothing helped and I became a mouth-breather for several weeks. Mouth breathing helps. Any tea that leaves my mouth kind of dry, mostly without sweeteners. Cough drops and avoiding milk like the plague apparently.
I have been pretty blessed that I don't have a ton of issues. The gall stones were the worst of it for me so far. My back is starting to hurt but other than that my energy is returning and I never thought I would be so happy to be getting a belly :D -
I would ask your dr. about the nose spray. I wasn't allowed to use any and I've always had serious sinus problems. Have you tired a netipot to try to keep your nasal passages and sinuses clean and clear?
I wish I could commiserate but all my issues cleared up while I was pregnant. No sinus headaches, swelling, or ear issues. Came back like a raging biatch when I gave birth though. -
Netti Pot was my best friend right before bed cleared me out every nite (just boil the tap water first then let it cool to make sure its sterile)
