    Why do people insist on sharing ALL the disgusting facts about going in to labor! So far i have read about this broads attempt to have "Hard Sex" with her DH, Possible "amniotic leakage" and  "Bloody Show"!!!! WTF!!!!??????? Why do people feel that its ok to share this info with the whole world? I can only imgaine the Disturbing Pic this broad is going to post! time to unfriend!

    I hide a lot of people due to not being to handle their status updates. One girl would update 4-5 an hour, every hour..... I don't update a lot maybe one a week, but 99% of the time it's about dd. which could be highly annoying to my fb friends. but they can hide me.
    @livelaughlove if she "toned" it down (just assuming she toned it down) for Facebook can you imagine what her phone calls consisted of?

    I only have like 79 friends. And more then half of that are familly members. We are a very close knitted familly and with growing, kids of our owns. We dont see as much of each other as we could. So it is one way for us to keep in touch. I have a few friends from when use to play wow. And a very few are co-workers or parents of a few of my kid's friend when they went to the daycare center. And a lot of those people dont post much. So it is pretty boring stuff lol


    So keep FB but unfriend all that you dont want to read their shit :)

    Just unfriend or unsubscribe from everyone other than the few you are interested in seeing. That's what I did. I also put them on the "restricted" list so they can't see anything of mine even though we are "friends".

    I have FB, but I keep my friend list to a minimal. If you post more than once a day, you are hidden. I don't need to know you every move. Sorry!

    If I didn't have Facebook, I would probably never see or talk to my family or friends for years at a time. It's over $10,000 for the four of us to fly back to the US for a visit ... so it rarely happens. Facebook has been a wonderful addition to our lives.

    Im not saying that FB  isnt a great tool to help people stay in touch with loved ones....Im simply asking why People think other people want to know everything going on in their life? I get that people have family that want to know that your "about to crown" or whatever but what about the 150 other people? who dont give a shit? Unfriending is an opption yes i get that but Posting very personal stuff on FB is totally wrong...just sayin... :)

    Every time I think about deleting it entirely I think "Oh shit, then my mother will CALL me on the phone!"  Umm no thanks.

    But I get sick of it too.  Especially annoying to me are the people who are supposedly my friends in real life but never bother to comment on anything or respond or even say hello... yet they tell everyone about their latest dinner out or vacation or whatever.

    I rarely get on my facebook. It's a way for me to stay in touch with friends and family that have moved. Also I use it to keep track of my kids. I have taught my kids that facebook is not a place that you broadcast your whole life. They very seldom listen, but their not horrible and post every aspect, but they do post a lot. My niece posts everything, all about the fights she has with kids at school, then theres the constant back and forth of profanity by her and her "friends". I want to shake my 14 year old niece and tell her to knock it off, but her mom thinks it's "cute" and eggs her on. My teenage nieces and nephews seem to be the worst offenders about posting everything.

    Oh yeah, about FB.. that was the topic.. I miss mine sometimes, there are some cousins and friends I don't keep in touch with anymore and I miss seeing what they're up to.
    Buuuut I don't miss wasting all the time it took to keep up with said people.
    Though for me I had 'stranger' friends too, and I tried hard to keep up with them... A couple hundred of them, actually....

    I overpost I think. But I figure that's my space to say what I want, and anyone who doesn't like it can just unfriend or hide me. Doesn't matter to me because I'm posting for me, not them. I get a lot of comments in most of my stuff though, do I guess at least some people find me interesting. What I don't understand is people who want to control what other people post. Lol. Just unfriend them. It's so easy!

    I do the check in thing a lot but that's because I'm always trying to beat my husbands score on foursquare.  But I did recently figure out that you can make it so every one of your check ins didnt post to fb.  Maybe if its getting extreme mention it to the check in addicts becuase they might know that you can make those posts not show up.  I didnt know until I was told by someone

    I have facebook, with my family and a fe friends.  One of those friends I had to delete because OMG every post was about how she was sick and pray for her she had a migraine and always sic this something wrong that, every damn day!  I finally deleted her!

    Yeah, I bailed on Facebook a couple of years ago. It caused too much drama in my life. Just wasn't worth it. I do have a Twitter page, though. It's sooo much simpler, and you can't cause alot of drama in 140 characters. :)

    I have been guilty of using facebook as like my sounding board and I think its due in part to my means of staying in touch with freinds and relatives but I agree there can come a point when its like wow that was way to much info.  I have ohnestly deleted a couple people to because the things they were posting were just so awful all the time.  It was embressing.

    I agree...some people share WAY too much!  I'm from a small town, so there is ALWAYS drama going on! lol  people who change their relationship status every week (with the same person) annoy me.  I've hidden/unfriended several because of this or bc their posts were simply too depressing to read every day.

    I do have family on my FB that I enjoy reading about bc we are so far apart.  Nowadays, my news feed is filled with 75% posts from pages i've liked and about 25% actual people/friends  lol  and i'm ok with that :D

    that is why facebook has friend lists, separate your friends into close family, and then non close family, and then best friends and then other friends, ... then share sparingly when you announce things, you can choose who sees it... so if your family wants to know the baby is crowning, you can put that but only let them see it not everyone...  makes sense to me...
