I know somebody posted on here earlier about kids & swimming pools but I have another. Watch out for the cars that are parked in your driveway. my van is usually locked but I took ds5 to the Dr yesterday & stayed home from work so it wasn't locked. Told my boys to go outside & play. Ds9 came in a few min ago & told me I need to start locking it. He & ds5 got in it & pretended to drive. Not such a big deal for either of them (although its locked now) but if they had been a few years younger it could have been bad. Its supposed to be in the 90s here today.

yeah, they just had that one here on the news this morning...we lose too many little ones every summer because they get left in cars.  56% of parents simply "forget" they've got their kid with them...I truly don't understand that, how do you forget you have your kid with you, even a sleeping infant?

Besides the heat they could accidentally put it in neutral or unlock parking brake... and it could roll.

Yeah all kinds of bad things could happen. @BellaBefana I don't know how you can 'forget' your kid is in the car.

@wonderwomanx3 & @bellabefana I read an article a few years back that really laid out how this could happen to just about anyone. I had to google to find it, and now I'm just sick and sad all over again. Sifting through way too many articles about children dying in hot cars :(
It's a long article, but it changed my point of view on some things.
