    It's finally here! An actual court date. We go for his harassment charges and for child support. I'm getting all of our financial documents in order now. Our new lawyer is fantastic and I have a good outlook on tomorrow. I'm still nervous because it's a big deal. After we finish these 2 we can finally take the ex's to court to get visitation. Please send good thought, vibes and prayers our way that things go in our favor.

    Today sucked. I'm falling part. I hate the court system. I have a migraine.

    We show up for his charges and he's not on the docket. We were served twice with today's date. They scheduled him but didn't tell the da and it didnt get put on the docket. We wait, again. Until August.

    Child support was more than doubled. The fact that we have kids and bills and rent and food to buy were not taken into consideration. We were already having a hard time and I don't know how we will make it now.

    I'm going curl up in a ball and cry now.

    Wait. They didn't see him yesterday, but they DID double your CS? How in the HELL? What did your lawyer say/do about this? That just can't be right. He's been fighting these charges for months on end, waiting to get to court, hasn't seen his kids at all in ages, and they double the support payments without hearing him out OR assessing your financial situation? I'm furious for you!! I'm SO sorry!! You know I'm here for you if you need to rant, vent, cry. What a freaking joke they are!! Sending you big hugs.

    They would not see him today on his charges. The lawyer is filing an appeal and we go back for that in September. So from today until September we pay the new amount. All they looked at was what he makes and what she makes and told him an amount he has to pay. We have to wait until at least after August an having his charges dropped to take the momma's to court to see th kids. Oh and today's support increase was just for one of the kids. The other one's mom will be filing for an increase too.
    I don't understand the system. I fight tooth and nail to get $130 a month out of my e for dd. he has no desire to see her and hasn't talked to her in almost 6 years. Here my DH is paying his support and begging to see his children and he gets the shaft.
    All I kept thinking today were the lyrics:'don't trust your soul to no backwoods southern lawyer, cuz the judge in town's got blood stains on his hands'.

    Nothing against our lawyers. The new ones we have are fantastic.
