Need some ideas for our family photos! WITH THE SNEAK PEAKS.

    So next week were doing Landon's NB photos, Chevys 1 yr old pictures, & some family pictures. I'm pretty sure for Landon's, the lady taking the pictures has everything we need except a outfit for the family pics. (nest prop, hats etc) Chevy is going to wear her birthday outfit (onesie and tutu we had custom made) but I don't want all of her photos to be in that outfit. Thats what she wore to her birthday party too but i would like some casual ones too. I just don't have any ideas what to put her in! And then for the family pictures in stumped on all of our outfits.. I don't know how to do the colors, or anything.. I don't know how I should do my hair, (I think I'm going to get It cut so I can just straighten it and wear it down) anyone have any experience or reccomendations? Any & all ideas are welcome! I'm pretty sure they will all be indoors at he studio since It'll be too hot for Landon. But I'm not sure how she's wanting to do it.

    I like all natural pics, un-posed myself. I think these make the BEST family photos.

    I was thinking black and white too @mammateeroll. But I like a little bit of color too. So I'm not sure yet.

    I am a sucker for the naked baby pick.  Had one done of AJ when he was three weeks old where he is laying on his belly done in black and white and he had two butterflies on his back that she put in color.  It is my favorite picture of all.  You may have them do a black and white with one or two details in color.  I know the naked baby picture is not for everyone and most photographers won't do it after they are more than six months old anyway.

    @christyj- I like them too, hes going to wear a hat and matching bottoms in a little beanbag, sack thing. Were gonna do a few different things. I'm sure we'll have one naked shot. He's a month old now, but he was two months early so I'm really hoping he does well for them. :-SS

    AJ slept through the entire time.  We got only one open eyed one where the photographer was behind the camera and I gently rubbed his bottom to get his eyes open.  That is the one we had supersized and is hanging in the living room.

    @christyj-Landon is stayin up a lot more than when we brought him home. I hope he'll sleep through the whole thing. Its a 2-3 hr session so I really hope we get some good shots.

    @mammateeroll- I'm not sure. I don't know what our background will be if we have them done in the studio. We may go to the indianapolis art museum depending on how hot it is outside. It's beautiful there.

    I would recommend solid colors for the casual clothes. Stripes and patterns can be distracting and clash with the backgrounds. Graphics or words are also a big no-no. Try to stay away from hair accessories bigger than the child's head, you want a picture of the baby and her beautiful eyes/smile, not a big pink jeweled flower.

    I think we've decide on doing the family pictures outdoors and then Chevy and Landon's at the studio. Now time to go shopping for clothes lol
