Why I Keep Having Children

I am a Stay At Home Mommy of two daughters, 6yrs and 19mons and in the summer we travel over the road with my husband in our 5th wheel camper.

This is my youngest daughter and I's latest excursion :)

I managed to lock myself out of the camper, rather easy actually. No phone, no keys, 4hrs from home etc. Keep in mind my daughter is sitting at the kitchen table, INSIDE the camper. Now ... insert brief moment of pANiC *$%&@!* ... then the cartoonish light bulb above my head. The "outdoor kitchen" is accessible through the "inside kitchen" and vise versa! Ah-HA! Swallow heart, check blood pressure and here I go. I know what you're thinking and ... no, I did not crawl through the tiny space and over the Lazy Susan ... thankfully saving myself from contortionistic positions! So, opened hatch, pushed inner cabinet door open and peer inside ... there is my daughter, still eating peacefully at the kitchen table, and giggling at her silly Mommy who has decided to play ... peek-a-boo?! Alright, now all I have to do is get her to bring me my purse!!! I AM OWNING THIS CATASTROPHE :D. My daughter gets down from the table, grinning ear to ear. She heads off to the living room and returns with her swim towel (Um, not MacGyver here). Lets try again. This time she brings me my sunglasses (Ok, well it is sunny out, good thinking! *puts on*) ... can't help but start laughing out loud, imagining what she'll bring me next ... Another trip and now I have my cell phone (Good, good. I can now call Daddy if needed). Send her back again and I hear my purse straps jingling! YAY!!! ... My daughter had a blast, all the while not having a care in the world, just helping her Mommy. My children are my joy.

I locked myself out of the house the other day while DH was at work. DD and I were just setting off on our evening walk (me), scoot (her) and sniff-and-pee (the dog) and we went out by the garage. I hit the button to close the door and ran out, only then realizing I had left my keys in the house. Oops! I had my cell phone with me but didn't really relish calling DH home from work when he had just gotten there. Fortunately DD had opened one of our dining room windows as wide as it would go. The window is about 6 feet off the ground. I went around back, got a pile of lawn chairs I purloined from the neighbour's garbage last year, stuck them in my flower bed, climbed up, managed to pop the screen out, boosted DD up, and had her unlock the door.
I am a genius. And my kid's pretty cool, too. The window screen will never be quite what it used to be, but such is life.

We had a milk shoot by the front door.  We would put my baby sister through it when we were locked out.  We recently pulled of the siding and I can't beleive we ever got her through it.

DH had to break into our house not too long ago. He just kept telling the girls "Don't tell anyone Daddy knows how to break into a house..." They thought it was hysterical to see his feet sticking out of the window.

Even funnier, I called his mom from the house phone to tell her we'd left our keys with her, and ask if she could drop them by when she got back to town (they were camping in the boonies). Her response..."Oh, no, how will you get in?? It's too hot for the babies to be outside that long!"

    True story.
