We were given the option when we found out our problems with getting preggo, but decided not to do it because the chances of twins was much higher and we already had a lot of the factors for twins, such as DH Grandmother is a twin and I have aunts that are twins, etc. We chose not to go that route and continued to take our chances. I took Clomid and became pregnant the first month I was on it for both children! I wish you the best of luck!

I heard that there were some instances of multiple births on Clomid because it gets you to ovulate & you could ovulate more than 1 egg but both my pregnancies were single pregnancies that went mostly full term - DD was 21 days early & DS was 22 days early. Both are very healthy.

Sending babydust your way! I took clomid for a couple months with no luck..... We decided to get aggressive bc I was impatient and opted for IVF after a failed IUI. Twins w IVF attempt #1.

Thanks ladies. For those of you that took it...did you have any side effects? I also have 'risk factors' for having twins, but honestly, I'd love to have them!!!!!! As long as there are only 2 or maybe 3, that'd be fine with me.

I only took it for a test, to see how well i ovulated, i didn't have any success with the clomid challenge test, and even on much stronger only got a couple of follicles...it's not like on The Practice, where they'll harvest 2 follicles and hope for the best...

Clomid is the first step, a friend of mine has used it and only had singletons--3 times. They really have the dosages down after so many years of use, so while twins are possibility, more than that is pretty unlikely with this drug, it just doesn't push you into hyperstimulation like the others can.

A good friend of mine had one dd and had trouble conceiving the second. She went on clomid. Had triplets! Then after accidentally got pregnant again! Has five now and got "fixed". Good luck!

If we have multiples, DH is getting himself snipped the minute they're born and deemed to be healthy!!!!!

I took I to conceive DD8. The limit was six months at a time, because there side effects. It1is been a while but I think I felt funky, off balance, PMSy. I got pregnant on the 6th month of using it~Yay for me! Dr. Had said it would have to be a 6 month break to try again after taking it for 6 months. He also said sometimes whatever is a problem to conception just magically goes away the 2nd time, aand yup, we had NO problem and didn't use Clomid for DD6. Good luck!

I had no side effects at all. I felt fine, no bitchier than normal :)

Well, I either am having the hot flash side effect or I'm mentally convincing myself to have it because I've had a hard time sleeping with it. Start to have sex tonight to try to make babies!!!! :)
