On 45 of 48 counts! Can't wait to see what his sentence is. Fucking pedophile. Burn in hell!

How do you ladies feel about this? Obviously I'm pumped!

I missed that on the news!!! I'm so glad they are taking that sick bastard off the streets!! It's too bad they won't stick him in general population.

The tragedy is that it took this long to catch him.  How many young men did not come forward because of fear and shame?  Tragic.  There is no sentence that can erase the damage done to those boys.  I pray for them...

Watching ESPN all damn night with the DH actually paid off for a change! It's incredibly sickening what he did, and I too wish he'd been caught much sooner. BUT justice was served and that makes me feel good!

Its on CNN right now and his defence team is saying they are going to appeal the verdict because they didn't have time to read the thousands of pages of discovery they got just days before the trial.
What the fuck do they need to know???? He molested and raped little boys in my opinion that is plenty to convict him and put him in jail for the rest of his natural life. Once he dies then God can deliver the final verdict.
You are not my thong, so get out of my ass!!

A conviction was served but not justice.

I'm glad that he is getting punished. What he did was disgusting.

^This. Absolutely. But, I'm so glad that he was convicted now, and it's a small reassurance that he will most likely die in prison!

As someone who worked in the jail system, HIS asshole is the one that's going to be sore and burning.

I take a small comfort from the stories of how guys like him are treated in prison.

This is what happened when people "don't want to get involved". there were a ton of witnesses. Somebody has to be the first to say something. And keep speaking up when other people try to shush them.

That's probably the biggest lesson here. The people who heard rumors about him & children are next in line to stand trial.
Look at how McQueary has been attacked for not screaming from the rooftops what he saw.
Following some "chain of command" is appalling when you're dealing with a criminal offense, let alone against a child.
I think that may be the only good that comes out of this. The public has spoken. You know about it & ignore it or cover it up? You're as bad as the molester. In some ways I think that's worse. All those people who are supposedly not sick & not capable of justifying relationships with kids. They covered or turned a blind eye to him.
Guess it didn't matter to them if it wasn't their child.

Btw, one of his adopted sons, who had been his strongest supporter, went to prosecutors at the end of the trial. He was abused too, & he offered to testify if necessary. His bio mom had testified to the grand jury about his not wanting to visit Sandusky but she made him. He attempted suicide a few months after moving in there. He had denied anything happened until now.

He's not the only one. Reportedly several more men have contacted the DA last week that they were victims too.
It hasn't been decided if there will be another trial yet.

I hope the sight of him being led away in handcuffs gives those he abused some peace...

I'm glad he can't hurt any more boys. I wish he'd been stopped sooner. I pray this helps his victims heal.

I hope those who stood by and did nothing, or almost nothing, take to heart the evil that they allowed to happen.

I agree with @MamaTeeRoll!! His wife is either the dumbest broad alive, or she needs to be brought up on some sort of aiding and abetting!! There's no way she never saw any signs that something fishy was going on in all those years. It's a shame that some kids don't feel like they have an adult they can trust to tell when something like this happens. I think what makes it so awful here is that he used generosity and philanthropy as a cover for his pedophilia! It really has to make people wonder if ANYONE has pure motives for helping the underprivileged anymore.

i think his wife needs to be charged as well...i don't buy her bullshit about having no idea anything was going on...she's just as guilty as he is.

Not only is he going to prison, but all he has accomplished in his life is being destroyed. Penn State is covering up his pic on a mural. They want nothing more to do with any of his deeds, good and bad alike.

Oh I saw this! FUCK YEAH! there is a local case up here going on now, the dude got 35 years (he's 39) with no chance of coming out sooner. I don't want to say too much detail, my friend's DSD9 was involved so this hits way too close to me.

What sickens me most about the Sandusky case is the 2 dudes who caught him and did NOTHING. WTF!!!!???? What are you THINKING when you ignore full-on rape!??

This is great. Now they need to aggressively go after all of the systems and individuals that let this go on all these years. Starting with the wife. And if it means the Penn football program goes bankrupt, so be it. I hope the civil suits crush them. Sandusky is not the only guilty party here.

I was so relieved that he didn't get away with it. I think he honestly believed that his public persona would get him off scott free. I agree that his wife had to know and that she should be charged as an accessory. I do hope that they have a civil case in which the victims receive financial compensation to help pay for them to get the therapy and ability to move on with their lives the best they can.

I'm glad that the guilty verdict rained down on him.  I only wish PA had the death penalty for the sheer number of counts he was found guilty.  However, I have a HUGE problem with McQueary still being on paid staff at Penn State when everyone else, including Paterno, was fired.  McQueary is on paid leave when the man could have stopped it decades ago.

I am NOT making light of this. I loved this and I'm sure it's just the beginning of the punishment and torment he will learn to live with.
