Tomorrow DS2 begins Infant Survival Resource lessons. I am curious to hear others opinions and experiences?

I am not sure what this is.... but I am a full believer in having little ones taught to swim as early as possible...My beach is still Sandy....

DD never took that specific program, she started swimming lessons at age 3. It's been great. She loves it and is becoming a good swimmer. We chose swimming over other activities like ballet because it's a safety issue. We want her to be able to swim so if anything ever happens, she (hopefully) will be able to get herself out of trouble."The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shock-proof bullshit detector.” - Ernest Hemingway

I've never heard of it, but I do advocate for early swimming lessons. I didn't learn until I was 9, and only after someone jokingly (didn't know I couldn't swim) tossed me in the deep end of a pool. It was horrible. Thank goodness it was a private pool and my dad saw it, or I may not be here today. DO IT!!

We did ISR for our three kids. It's an AMAZING program... we have a pool and I was always sure someone was going to drown. The moment I finished those classes I had a new peace of mind. The thing that's so different is that these aren't swimming classes; far from it. These are SURVIVAL classes and it makes all the difference. It's amazing to see a 1 year old, fully dressed get dunked in the pool, pop back up, and lay in a perfect float.Do it, you won't be sorry.
