I thought if we posted it here, we could maybe get ideas for our own meals. I know I seem to get into food ruts and make the same things over and over.

Souvalki chicken brochettes with steamed rice and carrots. Highly fartogenic, apparently, as I gassed myself well into the wee hours.

Middle eastern spiced beef and green beans with couscous. Sounds fancy, but it was an easy crockpot meal.
If I'm not supposed to do it, how come I can?

Mmm taboule. I used to work at a Lebanese restaurant and I got free food!
Is it weird that the best place I know to get Taboule now is from Costco?

Garlic sesame chicken with brown rice and asian veggies. God bless steam in the bag veggies and brown rice ! and I had one of those family packs of chicken breasts so I seasoned them all with a little garlic, olive oil and s&p and just threw them all on the grill pan. Those suckers will be curry chicken salad tonight and bbq chicken sandwiches tomorrow!

Me too, @Megsue, me too. It's the end of June, and we've had maybe *one* day where it would have been warm enough to go to the beach. We were at the once a year midway instead, so it was ok, but shit. Where the heck is summer?!

Last night we had chicken noodle soup and cheese bread.

Tonight will be bbq country style pork ribs. With mashed potatoes.

We here in Texas stole the sun and are keeping it for a long while. Wish I could give it back to you. I'm pretty sick of the 100 degree days.

Oh and I gave up on the garden. It usually dries up by the end of june anyways. Thank the good Lord for Farmer's Markets!!

@reacuemutts it's the best thing ever!! It's a graham cracker crust a regular tub of cool whip one can of sweetened condensed milk and one regular pack of unsweetened koolaid mix (I like the lemonade orange cherry or lime the best) u mix all the ingredients together and put it in the pie shell refrigerate for about an hour and yummy!! U can change the flavor Depending on which koolaid u use! We love it.

Monday: Tired did not want to cook so I made left over machaca nachos.  machaca, beans, lettuce, tomatoes and onion you put it to a bowl the way you like it and eat with chips.

Tuesday:  I tried the Kraft shaker bags (what ever the name is) it was okay, did it with chicken, corn and mac and cheese.

Weds (today):  machaca burritos rice and salad

Thursday:  Chicken something with beans and rice and salad

Friday: Grilled chicken.....sides are being debated.

Saturday: (at my moms house): Either they will BBQ chicken, and burgers; make beef and pork ribs, or spaghetti since they have not made these items for us for a bit when we visit.

Sunday: What ever left over my parents have I am house sitting.

Last night was baked pork chops with apple sauce, pasta mixed with Italian diced tomatoes, cream of mushroom and cream of celery soup, a fresh salad and some strawberries, blueberries and kiwi with whipped cream for dessert.

Tonight is supposed to be grilled lobster and steak with the left over fresh salad, Brussel sprouts with cheese sauce and what ever starchy thing I decide to throw together BUT Dh isn't back from playing with the fish yet so it looks like I'll just feed the kids something simple for dinner and if he's not too tired him and I can have the surf and turf.
