Yep me I'm stuck riding the city bus AGAIN during a heat wave.

Now before I get to into this this is only like 10% DH's fault. The other 90% is the fault of the device he uses to tune my car. DH is not a bad guy yes he does need to grow up a bit but what he did had a very valid reasion.

Anyway we had an older version of this device on my car. DH went and bought the newer one. While he was disconnecting the old on from my car it failed to upload the stock tune to my car before disconnecting causing the cars computer also known as the ecu to freeze up and become a "brick". Only way to fix it is remove the computer send it to the company who makes the device to reset it. The ecu is a cars brain and my car will not start with a frozen ecu.

Now DH bought the new one because the new tune is much better for my car and will extend the life of the new motor. In addition to that it ups our gas milage, gives us more horse power, and also bypasses sensors that would cause my car to fail state inspection. We run it with out catalytic converters technically illegal but with the tune it passes inspection.

DH did nothing wrong the device malfunctioned it happens and semi regularly with the old devices (yet another reasion we upgraded). DH got on eBay and ordered another ecu from Alabama for 150 bucks. It should be here Monday. We are sending the old one to the company but it takes 2-3 weeks to fix so we will sell it when we get it back.

I do wish he would have just left it alone but shit happens. I WILL. Implant my foot in his ass if he does anything else to my car other then installing the tune when we get the new ecu.

Fuck I hate the bus and I hate waking up an hour early just to catch it. God damnit.

I despise car issues. We had to have ours fixed back around Christmas and spent well over a grand getting it back on the road. It sucked big ol' donkey balls. We only have that one, DH was working the next town over at night, I was working during the day, school, sitters, on and on. I feel your pain. At least you have a bus! We were bumming rides and trying to borrow cars left and right! Hell, our little town in BFE doesn't even have a cab service anymore. I hope your DH gets your car running right soon! And I second the iced coffee suggestion!
