So today is my birthday. 32 years! Well its not a great one. Usually my friends and I go out but, for some reason we didn't plan anything this year. Everyone is busy I guess. Well bf and I are moving in together on Thursday. It's stressful. I know he has A LOT to pack and has to work etc. and on top of everything he is feeling sick. The thing is I don't even think he got me a gift :( . He isn't even coming over here tonight or anything (currently he lives 30 min away). Every time I have talked to him over the past week all he can talk about is the move, what he has packed, and what he still has to pack. When the cable guys will be there, transferring the heat and electric, etc. It's driving me crazy. Am I over reacting that he has all but forgotten my birthday??

Happy birthday!!! And no I don't think you are overreacting! I understand life gets busy but never too busy for that! I would be super upset if DF forgot my birthday. I hope he gets his head out of his ass!

He hasn't forgotten. But Happy Birthday!!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! don't worry the ones that love you the most, never forget! so I bet he has something REALLY special planned!my mother used to sing me a song. It went like this: "Life is short, life is shit, and soon it will be over.
-
Happy Birthday.
Even if he's stressed, he still needs to do something to let you know he's thankful you were born. That's how I worded it to my dh. He doesn't think any holiday is special, I do. It certainly doesn't have to be expensive, or anything dramatic, just something like a flower, my favorite chocolate bar, cook dinner the way I like it, and clean up. Just show that you aren't completely self absorbed. So I don't think you are overreacting to be upset.
Maybe he is planning something for next weekend when things are more settled? Guys can be annoyingly practical about things like that.

Happy Birthday :)
He may or may not have forgotten. If he did, it is because he is so wrapped up in getting everything together so you can live together!! Sounds like he is trying to take care of all those annoying little details & it could have honestly slipped his mind. Maybe give him a gentle reminder...wow, I can't believe I'm 32 yrs old today!... -
@justkeepswimming, no, not my bday. Was just giving an example of how she could sneak it in there without being obvious that she thinks he forgot lol
-
@loveit Happy Birthday. I hope he hasn't forgotten. It sounds like he has a lot occupying his mind, so maybe he has forgotten. I would just remind him. And there is nothing wrong with feeling hurt and upset, I don't think you're overreacting at all. Hope your birthday turns out better!

Happy birthday @loveit. Enjoy! @};-Stay away from my chocolate and nobody gets hurt!
I think I like who I am becoming... -
HAppy happy birthday! Best wishes on your move too! Warm hugs too!!
High expectations- I too suffer from this! The older I get the worse it gets! I set myself up for failure by expecting the best. I blame my parents for spoiling me....... -
:x -
Happy Birthday! Don't stress too much. My DH couldn't even remember if my birthday was the 14th or the 16th for the longest time! I bet he's got something planned...maybe a belated something for after the big move?? Moving sucks, so maybe he's just trying to get through that so he can really do something special!!
"I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." ~Audrey Hepburn -
