one more junebug flies through my back door( when i let kitties/puppy in or out to go potty) and hits me in the fucking head, then flies into the ceiling fan and goes god knows where and i'm making a fucking homemade flamethrower with a giant can of hairspray and a barbeque lighter.

    that is all.

DRIVES ME FREAKING CRAZY!  Though I do agree, June Bugs are a pain in the ass too!

The bugs I have always called a June bug look like that but they are a rust color. I've never seen the green ones here in CT!

But yes they are PITA! They swarm around the light outside my front door and dive bomb my head everytime I go outside!

I remember seeing green June bugs somewhere, but not here in south Texas. We do get Luna moths here, too (asshole kitty's favorite prey) but they aren't green, here, either. They're grey.

I love Luna Moths, they're so pretty...if our moths looked like them, I wouldn't mind, but no we get those ugly brown/grey ones here too.

Right now, the damn cicada's are getting on my nerves...they're EVERYWHERE and could drown out L.A. rush hour traffic noise!

you guys are bitching about june bugs? lol! try watering your grass. which makes all the june bugs come out because they love it. and while they are flying around hitting you in the face. here come the mexican bats that fly here from carlsbad caverns.and you have to tuck and roll from those because they get down pretty low to eat the june bugs that are flying toward your face...hahahha!

i hate the moths here brown and ugly (even though i still catch them and throw them outside so they dont die in here) . but the moths where my inlaws live are BEAUTIFUL! and HUGE! they like in TN outside of knoxville.

@Marionettevie at least bats are kinda cute :D

I HATE moths, anything you can dust off and it can no longer fly, is EWWWW! I can squash spiders, pick up snakes, handle tarantulas, deal with wasps, bees, june bugs... no biggy. A wee tiny moth flys within a 6ft radius of me and I scream like a 4 y.o primadonna having a 6ft boa tossed at her... lol!

I MISS junebugs! We used to have swarms in the summer but I rarely see them now. My friends husband who is a professor at the local U says its because of uninhabitable conditions. They can't breed very successful here anymore. Totally makes me sad/. I love you Junebugs!

@JustBeachy i live in Hells Pisshole Tx. (el paso) which is about a 3hr drive to Carlsbad Caverns. Too bad they are closing it down  :( i could always make that trip down easy and everyone that came with me ended up super sore.... i never understood it until i tried carrying my son in the ergo down the thing. JESUS... never again until the kid can walk!
