Wow, I love it when it starts to cool down. Last night, I actually got cold!! And, sadly, I'm in the mood for Christmas music! I'm listening to Bing Crosby croon "I'll be Home for Christmas" (my favorite Christmas song), and wishing we had a tree up. I get this way every Fall, wishing that Christmas could last longer and that good feeling I get every year could linger. That good feeling makes me happy and makes me remember good years gone by, and now, it reminds me of all of those awesome Christmas's my dad worked so hard to make just right. It's bittersweet. :) I hope everyone gets that good feeling a little early this year, just like I do. *hugs*

    Christmas is my favorite holiday.
I love pulling out all my other nativity sets (I have one I keep out all year in my curio cabinet)
I decorate all crazy... I get to put out my Santa sunbathing tart warmer...
Have the music going all the time... Everything from classic Christmas songs... To the funny stuff... Candles burning... Cookies...

Did you say it was Christmas time?...

I'm with you on this! DH is just as Christmas crazy as I am, and we start decorating the day after Thanksgiving..sometimes the day of. Tree is up first, and then Christmas sort of explodes through the rest of the house. The smells are my favorite.. I'm already stocking up on fall/winter tarts and candles to keep me going all winter ;)

My SO loves Christmas too!! It's great!! Yes, I love putting the tree up. I love the cinnamon candles, they smell the best. Or, if you have a little potpourri pot, you can put whole cloves, cinnamon sticks and water in it. The smell is fabulous!!

This morning it was 65 degrees out at 8am with a light breeze and the sun was shining bright, no clouds in the sky OMG it was so beautiful!!! It made me think of Christmas instantly. I love Christmas time its like I fall in love with it every year. The music, the cooking, the chill, the warm blankets, cozy nights by the fire, OH I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

My mom always did the cinnamon sticks and cloves! I love the cinnamon candles too, and the sugar cookie, the pumpkin pie.. I have a candle problem, lol. More a scentsy problem now, my friend bought me a warmer for Christmas last year, and I was hooked. Our dollar store gets these amazing maple caramel cream candles too, DH knows when I find them I'm getting as many as I can. :) He doesn't get the whole "smells like the holiday" part until he walks in and asks what I'm baking.. nothing! It just smells awesome ;)

I agree on snow days! We had a mild winter last year, but the two years prior were bad enough the kids missed weeks of school...I remember one of my Facebook status updates was "It's turning into The Shining up in here..."

I've found the cheapo candles at walmart are really good for Christmas. They have a gigantic pine scented one for like $5. (we have a fake tree so I like to get the pine/fir candles) And they last a long time!!

Oh, and the Starbucks Seasonal Drinks!! My favorite is the Salted-Caramel Hot Chocolate. YUM. I LOVE the snow! Well, not so much last year, because I wasn't able to see SO like I wanted to, but this year??? It's going to ROCK!
Just a side note: The year my dad died (12/12/09), it snowed like crazy on Christmas Eve. I'll never forget my mom looking out the window and crying, saying that Daddy did it for her. We've *rarely* had snow on Christmas...but it was coming down like you wouldn't believe. It was beautiful. And I do believe that Dad had something to do with it.

I am allergic to the real trees!! SO didn't believe me and kept walking me past a real one at the Firewheel Mall a few years ago, and I couldn't stop sneezing!! I wanted to kill him!

@morganD OH NO! That's too bad, the feel of Christmas isn't quite complete without key scents like pine/fir. Are you ok with the candles though?

@MorganD yay !!! I'm not the only person allergic to Christmas trees !!! I was beginning to think I was a freak of nature ! My kids love REAL TREES though so I end up suffering. The only room that had space for the tree was my room too!!!

@momofdbb I love my kids, but not enough to suffer that much. When I was still with xh, his parents had a real tree. OMG. I thought I was going to die. My skin had hives!

The kids make it. There's nothing like that excitement, that belief in the magic of Santa... I think that's why DH and I enjoy it all as much as we do. Christmas was always magic in my house when I was growing up, and for me it's just a feeling of HOME, the smells, the music, lights... :)

@MorganD I didn't have hives but my nose was stuffy/ran and my eyes matted shut while I was asleep. I am allergic to cats as well and we had cats. DD wanted one. Yes we had cats before her and I was not allergic then my allergies changed ! I always had eye issues and th sniffles. I could not find any allergy medicine that didnt make me sleepy so I didn't take anything. Stbxh would not let me see an allergist to get a script. The worse time was when a cat hair got in my eye and my corna swelled up ! Yea went to the Eye Foundation with that one, my eye was shut and very painful. He was so mad at me !!! It cost a 30 $ copay !!!

Totally! I've always said I love winter up until Christmas, but I could really do without the interminable slog through Jan-Feb-March-and-sometimes-April to spring.

I love me some Christmastime! And we have room to decorate this year for the first time in 5 years! I'm elated!!

@MorganD, my Nana cries her eyes out every time she hears Bing Crosby sing "I'll Be Home for Christmas". Especially since her mom died.

And for all you candle nuts, lf you like Yankee's FB page and watch it around the holidays, they usually have a Buy 2 Get 2 Free coupon. I split it with someone last year...2 Yankee housewarmer candles for $25?? Yes Please!! Cinnamon is a must in my house at Christmas, and they brought out a new scent last year called Over The River...amazeballs ladies!!

@Grits I'm a Bing freak...and that's my favorite Christmas song. Christmas has been so different since dad died, but I think I'm disappointed, because I keep expecting it to be like it used to be, but it's not. I still love it, though. *sigh*

I love me some Christmas, but then my life if this time of year revolves around Christmas. Santa was here last week. Not a joke. We were filming. Santa, xmas cookies, the tree, the lights, the snow. Ah, the ad world. Where Christmas arrives in August and lasts until January...
