Pcos and oily hair

So I was reading the "bathing the kids once a week" thread and I need to wash my hair daily because it becomes oily about 1-2 hours after washing it. It get so oily that if i wear a pony tail in my hair it will stay in upright position. Its disgusting ive shaved my head a couple times to see if that helped. It didnt. I suffer from pcos and this is one of the side effects among other fricking great ones :-q so I figured no shampoos work to help de-grease my hair maybe the scary mommies could be of some help.
    Things I have tried
Every shampoo except for Wen from Chaz dean
    Shampooing more and less
    A Malibu treatment
    Homemade masks for hair.

I've never heard of the orange juice or vinegar has anyone actually tried them. do they work? Any one else have ideas?

I know it may be totally easier to say than do, but have you gave it like a whole month of only washing twice a week? It takes time for it to adjust. I'm not saying I know a damn thing about pcos but I'm just wondering if you gave it enough time to adjust.

My hair is super oily at the roots and dry at the ends. I have to wash it every day but it fries the ends. I just got some dry shampoo and I'm starting to wash it every other day and use the dry shampoo in between days to see if I can train my hair to not be so greasy. The stuff really works but I don't know yet if washing less will actually make my hair less oily.

Yes dry shampoo is definitely a good thing! I just have read that over drying your hair by washing it too often puts the oil glands in overdrive, therefore oilier hair. I've personally seen a big difference with my hair too. So hopefully it works for you girls, I suppose everyone is different so you never know.

I love dry shampoos! There are several drug store brands out now (it used to be only the more high end salon brands) and you can find them at Safeway, Target, etc. Suave and Tresemme make some. I got a sample bottle of the suave in the mail and really liked it! Good luck!

Thanks @lizzywizzy! Im glad I made it a bit thicker it felt really funky at first. I didn't have any herbs or honey so it this works for me I am going to add some. I was surprised how my hair really does feel clean. So I researched and no websites say how often you do it. Is it just twice a week or can I do it three times?
