Facebook Picture Opinion

I'm just wondering where everyone found the pictures for the top of their facebook things. I know it's sort of a stupid conversation to start but I found the perfect picture for it while browsing deviant art the other day, but I don't want to use someone else's property. It feels weird to me, of course I might want to just do it while I can. Anyway, if other people have used pictures that they didn't take I know I'll feel better about it.

I haven't chosen one yet.....it's been over a month. Can't figure out what to use.

If its a creative commons copyright you can use the photo as long as you give credit. As a member of the deviant art community I would suggest sending them a message and asking if you can use the photo with accreditation, most people's issues come from people using the art without asking or without giving the artist credit.

I make my own, not as extravagant as those pros, however. I use "Picasa" ...free program, doesn't take much memory on your computer. It's a partner with Google I think. So easy once you play with it a little bit. You'll wanna know the dimensions of those cover pics when you use picasa. it is: 850x315 ...850 pixels long and 315 tall.... I love graphic art :) My man does it. He went to college for it. I recommend watching some tutorials on youtube to get the hang of it.
OR you can go to a website like http://www.myfbcovers.com/
they're popping up all over...

I created mine myself. I did WordArt on MSword then C&P'ed into MSPaint.

Yes, you should really ask. Chances are the artist won't mind, but really, it's common courtesy. I am a member of deviantart as well, and always agree whenever anyone wants to use one of my photos, but it is only polite to let them add a watermark for credit.

Mine is the same header I use on my blog and the same picture I used as my icon here. It's a coffee themed greeting card I made and adored so much I couldn't send it to anyone. I still have it too.

You can also just search for FB covers on google or whatever. You'll get tons of links.

I used a picture I had taken with my iphone. There are a couple of apps that let you edit your personal photos. It's puts a really nice touch to your own creations.
