Ok, @eapple 's suggestion made sense. So here's the thread. A lot of us complain that we're fat, or need to get healthy, but there's one important thing lacking. SUPPORT.
If you need a little encouragement or accountability let's do it!
I'll start. I need to lose 40 lbs. I am currently at 156 lbs. I am 5'1.5 The doctor said that I am predisposed to stroke, so getting healthy or not isn't a choice, it's now survival. I know that without a helping hand now and again, I'm going to fail.
This morning I did a lap of my neighborhood, 5 laps is a mile. It wasn't much, but I got off of my ass. I also had a nice lunch. I don't eat much, my problem is activity. I have a few chronic issues standing in my way, and it'll be a hard process. But I know I have to.

I'm 5'6" and weigh somewhere between 160 and 165 lbs (I haven't weighed myself recently) I need to get up off my ass and move more and stop eating so much crap.

I'm 5'3", 171lbs. I was down to 155 a month after having the baby (she's 17.5w now), but then I got the depo, and they failed to mention "fat ass" as a possible side effect.
A healty (happy) weight for me would be between 130-140lbs. -

Starting body fat percentage: 37Current BFP: 36Next goal: 35Ultimate goal: 28I'm currently exercising in short bursts to get my stamina up - 2 minutes every half hour for six hours. It's also an attempt to regulate blood sugars and boost metabolism. Tomorrow I'm adding 30 seconds because it feels like my body is ready. I hope to eventually use this plan for my exercise:Diet-wise I'm focusing on meats and veggies. I don't drink soda or alcohol - my diet isn't really that poor. The lack of exercise seems to be my difficulty.I feel sexy now - that doesn't seem to be dependent upon my BFP, but I am feeling higher energy levels. I'm sleeping less and more ready to get out of bed in the morning.I feel a little uncomfortable sharing this journey. I do want to be leaner and stronger and more able to catch the kids if they bolt (which they do and can be very dangerous). I want to be able to shop more easily for clothing. I guess the number one thing that bothers me about my thinking, is that I think I will be seen as *more* desirable if I lose some of the fat. That bothers me because I don't like the idea that I am looking to others to validate me. I don't think I should do that. But that is how I feel.I think it's important for me to love my body no matter where I am in my journey. I don't want to shame myself.

No judegment, no shame @Gingersnap Just some support and you can do it attitude when we get discouraged. And some people are more likely to do it if they're not doing it alone :)

@onetime, we are about the same place - I'm 5'4 and 170 but a good chunk of that is these boobies lol ! im trying to get down to about 150.

@freetobeme, You wanna be my weight loss buddy? Right now the method I am using is diet, and Exercise. I have an android phone and I downloaded FatSecret app. I track all the exercise and food I eat. I know from calculating it, that to lose 10 lbs in the 4-6 weeks I want I need to expend 1100 calories more than I consume.I did this two years ago and went from about 175 to 135. It was great! BUT I think 135 is too small. I'm looking at 145.Suck it up buttercup!

I am an uber fatass. ;) You ladies make me feel HUGE. I'm 5'8" and weigh close to 230 (228.2 to be precise). I've already lost over 10 pounds in a month by not eating like shit, not eating fast food every other day, and not drinking soda. I can't drink diet soda because the fake sugar stuff gives me migraines.Today I got off my ass for the first time in months. It was 77 degrees out, and I took DS3 to the zoo. I struggle with depression, and general laziness, but I bought a zoo pass today so hopefully I'll make the 3.4 mile loop around the zoo at least once a week now.

I'm 5' 3 1/2" and 215 lbs. I have 70 lbs to lose. My ultimate goal is a breast reduction after I'm done having children.
Today my "exercise" included standing at the sink and washing dishes for 40 minutes, washing and hanging two loads of laundry and vacuuming my 1 bed apartment. I had a ham and cheese wrap and two 12 oz cokes. Resolving not to drink tonight.

@verdictlesslife It's the same with me and cigarettes. I quit when I found out I was pregnant with DS, and then went back to it when my mom got ill. Being 5800 miles away from my family doesn't help my stress levels much. I HAVE to quit smoking or my orthodontist won't put my braces on, and that means no surgery to correct my TMJ. Kick my ass back to healthy please!

@verdictlesslife Deal! I'll one-up you and say no more sodas, wine or reeses pb cups. Those are all my vices. Other candy I can take or leave, but if I even get a sniff of pb cups, I eat the whole package in one sitting.

I didn't read all the posts but is anyone planning to quit smoking? I'd like to have a text/email/bbm buddy to quit with. Anyone?

@onetime, Im doing the same thing, only with weight watchers. Tracking is everything. And Im starting to get good at knowing my points. Lets totally be buddies !! I have to say, the great weather is helping. Walked almost 2 miles on my lunch break today and heading to the gym for 30 minutes on the treadmill.My weakness is wine lol. Totally empty calories but mama needs those 2 glasses every night after work. I dont need the 3rd one but golly I want it lol.

I wouldn't say in skinny lol, weight just isn't a huge deal to me (and I'm nursing so i don't feel like now is the right time to worry about weight), I just really need healthier habits!

I'm 5'7" and weight about 160 or so. Don't own a scale because I have a teenage daughter. I'm a snacker and rarely eat any meal except dinner. In fact, that sing song that I put in the freezer earlier?? I think I'll eat it and have a dr pepper. I want to lose about 10-20 pounds. I carry my weight pretty well, but weigh more now that I did when I delivered DD. I lived in Miami then. Live in Ohio now. Winter is my problem.

And I'm wasn't worried about a number on a scale either. It's the dr that says it needs to be 35-40lbs. DH thinks I'll look sick. Guess we'll see how it goes

I wanna join, but not today. Im embarassed at how much Dh and I ate for lunch. We went to Logans Roadhouse for lunch for our anniversary and I am now literally sick to my stomach. I love food, everything about it. :( I am 5'3 and weigh 230 UGH!!!! I need to lose about 100 pounds but that just seems impossible. Btw, Dh is also morbidly obese.Stay away from my chocolate and nobody gets hurt!

I'm 5'4, 180 lbs (down from 185!). I need to lose 30-40 lbs more. I will be happy losing 30, 40 would be great, but any more than that would make me look ill. I'm trying to do the couch to 5k program. I always do great for a week, then have trouble getting back to it. Work is kicking my ass right now, so I don't have much free time until mid-April (if I survive until then).

I'm 5'2" and weigh about 155/160 (sadly gained weight over the winter lol). I would love to be down to 125/130. But I'll settle for 135. I went for a long walk earlier and now am enjoying a nice salad. Too warm to cook lol. Please motivate me to go running in the mornings! Or doing a short work out at night!!

@Blessie Homemade chili can be good or bad. It depends on what you put in it or on it. You eat crackers and cheese with it, it's bad. But with lean meat and no "extra" it can be very healthy

Phew! It wasn't lean meat but I drained off as much of the drippings as I could. Lots of beans, diced tomatoes, and I added unsweetened applesauce so I didn't need much brown sugar, green chiles, and some corn to make it interesting. Didn't allow myself crackers & cheese. I just realized as I was eating it that I had no idea where chili fell on the healthy scale.

Remember, corn is NOT a veggie. It is a starch. Ask any diabetic. Also sweet peas and carrots are PACKED with sugars

@nimrodjess well let me tell you, you aren't an uber fatass. I know first hand because I am lol I'm 5'4" and 275lbs...yes that is correct...no typo. I will be starting my healthy eating and exercise tomorrow and i will post at the end of my day how my day went. -
I need to lose 20lbs. I've been trying since October of last year. I started at 160 and am now at 150. I ordered measuring tape and Jillian Michael's Shed and Shred dvd. Oh joy. I've tried it all. I feel so defeated... real life situation is not helping by the way.

@momof2boys42 I'm starting tomorrow also, i didn't do good at all today. I need to lose over 100lbs so i know how you feel about thinking it's impossible. My bf is also morbidly obese and he is going to be hard to convince to start eating healthy and exercising with me. -
Nothing is "impossible" unless you convince yourself it is. Don't defeat yourself! Only way you can fail, is if you don't keep trying. :)

5ft3 and 245 pounds *hand head in shame*. I am totally in for this. Maybe someone can make like a FB page or something where we can all actively keep track of our weight, etc? I have GOT to lose weight, my bp runs uber high.

I am trying desperately to get the energy and motivation to go for a walk this morning. But just can't seem to shake the fog in my head. All I want to do is go back to bed.
