Jesus and the "F-word"

Okay so I posted a photo on my facebook.......it is image

and someone had transposed the words:

"Okay, here's an idea.  You love them like I loved you.  Make sure that you care of them, and don't judge them."

(response) "But what if they're Gay, or worship other Gods?"

    "Did I fucking stutter?"

Okay, so I knew I would get a little flack about it, but I think the message is a solid one.  I had an OVERWHELMING response from SO many people saying how offensive it is.

I'm offended that they are offended about the idea of TRUE tolerance.  I was raised to love people, no matter what they believed, who they loved, what they look like, what skills and abilities they may or may not have.

I hope the world is a more open-minded place when my child is my age.

Some people just look for something to complain about. I've seen the picture and actually lol'd at it. Honestly laughed out load. It's not like you got it painted on your review window or wear it on a tshirt to church. Some people have no sense of humor.

THIS^^ I know SO many "christains" who know nothing about the bible, I don't believe in it, but I've sure as shit read it, and had it pounded into my head for 6 solid years. I know what it says.....and no where does it say "thou shall not use the F word".....I think the message is a solid one, and its done in an amusing way, I'd tell them to fuck off, BUTTTT then again, the very religious and the very conservative tend not to read my facebook posts at all, they've given up on me :)

So its offensive just b/c the word fuck is in it? What if that one word was taken out, would they still be offended? The message is true, but people are going to say its blasphemous just b/c a cuss word is in it. How can u be offended by something promoting love and tolerance. Ignorance

@ eapple....I so re-posted that on my facebook wall. I'm gonna start telling people how I really think and feel, and if they don't like it, they can remove me from their friends lists. I'm fed up with the bullshit.

@eapple People just don't like things that they can't argue with. It drives them crazy because it makes a valid point.

I'm suprised no one said it was offensive because the word "stutter" in it. You know, for the people who have a stutter....

I love that pic by the way.

Here, then. I took out the f-word.
They will still find some offense.

@Love I'm posting your shiny, new less-offensive version first thing in the morning.  I'm gonna go for take 2, and hope that someone talks some shit.  It might get messy, just long enough for me to have a few laughs and start deleting people from my friends list.

This is what I posted immediately after removing said offensive photo:

Okay, I removed my last post because I don't want to offend the people I
love, especially if it is going to cause rifts in relationships with
people that really matter a LOT to me. I would like to say, however,
that I don't feel that there is enough tolerance in this world, and that
is greatly disappointing. Bigotry directed toward ANY group of people
due to simple differences very plainly is WR...ONG.

I was raised to LOVE and RESPECT people. The things that make every
single one of us different and unique are things that our creator
intended....and that most certainly includes but is never limited to our
religious affiliations, our sexual preferences, the colors of our
skin/hair/eyes, our strengths and our weaknesses.

    I am
absolutely FED UP with people that feel that they are better than
someone else because of who they pray to, or who they lay down in bed
next to at night. I'm SICK TO DEATH with people that act like they not
only had a choice, but then made a smarter choice in who their ancestors
    are.

We need more compassion, more thoughtfulness, more
caring in our world. There seems to be a shortage of people that are
able to look further than themselves to see that we can individually
make changes that would collectively improve humanity.

I created that meme, and it did NOT have the F word in it, when I made it.

I am pretty religious and although I don't love the f word... it certainly makes the point. Jesus was a REBEL! There's a reason why he was crucified. He scared the establishment with his radical ways. Love and tolerence. He spoke to the woman at the well... he had me at hello. Church is for the sinner... that's why I go.

I dont like to cuss either but living in a military town I have accepted other people like it. Now having said that I honestly don't see the issue, I mean the message is a very strong one, "Love all, judge none." I dont see how anyone can be upset at that.

I like @love's version so much better. For me, it gets the message across loud and clear without resorting to profanity. I just don't use it and don't let my kids use it either, but the message without it is something I would definitely share.

I'm pretty sure Jesus swore. Think about it....he was a political revolutionary, a rabble rouser, and a trouble maker. He hung out with people of "bad character". I'm pretty sure some foobars slipped from his lips when he went off on the money changers at the temple. 3 of his closest buddies were poor fisherman. Have you guys ever been around people that fished for a living?

    @mammateeroll

    ^:)^

Seriously, you rock!! You could be rich saying shit like this. It's so honest and so true. I had to read this aloud to the dude. We are both cracking up! He said "I like her. Jesus likes her too." Cheers!!

i dont need to find Jesus.....  when i die he will be on the other side (probably if he is not too busy doing some other very important jesus stuff) waiting for me with open arms to welcome me back home! hahaha i will not actively look for him because im too busy enjoying life! i also dont need to look for God. he is already within me, a part of me. He is after all my maker! duh!

People now a days take everything way too seriously. they need to pull the stick out of their ass and beat some sense into themselves with it. Jesus, as holy and his soul as advanced as it was, was still HUMAN! he was born and was a child and grew up just like any other man that has every lived and will ever live. i am sure on a very frustrating day, when he was very stressed out, and he stubbed his toe on something, he probably CURSED (gasp!) because i know thats what i do (but cursing is a regular part of MY life) lol. he made mistakes as a child and a teen and what not because he was till human! he was just here with a mission from God, and was able to talk to him, unlike all of us with closed minds. so yeah i am pretty sure the guy cursed every once in a while. and guess what! since he knew he was human, he forgave himself. and that in turn led God to forgive him for that too. because God knows living in this world is NOT easy! this place is specifically created to make us suffer to help our spirits GROW. and cursing sure as hell will come along with it because DAMN. sometimes you just have to let steam go!
