She came by at 2am

    Some of you may remember  the exfriend of mine who stole my debit card and used it over and over again.  She got over 5500 at Walmart.  I have complained to the bank and the police.

     

    Last night she knocked on my door at 2 am saying that she wanted to get her stuff.  She had stayed here in my condo a few times, so she does have some stuff here but not a lot.  I refused to open my door and told her to go away or I was going to call the police. 

    I know now that she is high on pain pills like Vicodin.  She used the money she got to buy pain pills. She claimed ridiculous stuff like she can cancer.  She has no cancer--she was saying that stuff to get pity.  I do not give a fuck if she does has cancer.

    I plan on calling the police if she comes back this morning to get her stuff. She can have her shitty stuff, but normal people do not show up at 2am in the morning. I believe she was high and I was in fear for my life.  I believe she came with her husband and they are desperate and capable of hurting me.

    She HAD to have been drunk or high to come by at 2 am!!! If you fear for your safety maybe you should consider taking out a restraining order. If she wants her stuff she should come with a police escort anyways.

    Put it in a box on the frond door step. Tell her to come and pick it up at x time- call the police and ask for someone to be there at the same time.

    Put all of her stuff in a box by the door. That way you don't have to worry about it. Then get a restraining order. I don't blame you for not opening the door, especially at 2am. That is ridiculous. And yes, if she comes back and starts trying to get you to open the door, call the police. Don't even talk to her, just call the cops.

    If you have already contacted the police about her, why didn't you call 911 last night while she was at your door?  You shouldn't be living in fear of this person and her husband.  I had an employee who was addicted to oxycodone and he stole, lied and did whatever he could to get more money.  I didn't even feel bad firing him, I gave him too many chances.

    She has not come back so far,  I did not call 911 because I was not thinking clearly. She claimed she needed her stuff because she was leaving the state this morning.  I am going to get her neighbor to pack up her shit.  Reminder, I am handicapped.  I do okay, but packing her shit is work and honestly I do not want to even touch her shit.  The only good thing is that the stupid bitch texted me after she left this morning--so if she denies she came by I can at least show the police that text. 

    The bad thing is that I am a private person and hate the idea that the neighbors will know my business. Oh well, what the fuck.

    I agree about the neighbors and hope that you file a police report about this, as much of a hassle as that all is. Maybe if you just stick her stuff out front and leave it at that (I like the suggestions about taking her stuff somewhere the police say is good better). I hope everything blows over soon, I have many friends who I have seen become addicted to pain pills and some times it is disastrous. I know some who never grew a dishonest or violent bone in their body no matter how down and out they were so I don't think the addiction is ANY EXCUSE for that kind of behavior. You can be addicted and still be a good person, if it makes you into a monster that is YOUR FAULT. IMO. The big thing here is that if you become more trouble than your worth and show NO COMPASSION and A LOT OF BACKBONE, they will move on to an easier victim.

    Thanks for the support ladies. The good news is that about an hour ago, I finally heard back from the bank. They got additional info about what happened. My bank, which is Wells Fargo is fucked up--I have to talk to some special high dollar volume department to pursue the claim--but I had to wait for them to call me back. If I do not talk to them, they can close out the claim. I called five times last week and finally today somebody called me back.

    I am letting everyone I know that I am in fear of my life. Hell, I even told the bank that and asked them to notate it on my claim.

    I do have a lot of backbone and will not allow them to make their victim. Maybe my lesson from all this shit is that I am stronger than I thought.

    Also, I was in the Army for three years, put myself through undergrad and grad school. I am a mean tough old broad--only 56. Other people tried to beat me down and I survived their shit.

    No deadbolt, but I do have two dogs who bark when they hear some shit.  The older dog, Rosie is 11 years and she will literally back at 3am in the morning if she hears some shit. Then I have a puppy--Maddy who is six months and barks when she hears noise.  They sleep in the same room with me.  I am seriously thinking about buying a gun. By the way my daughter got Maddy despite me telling her not to get a puppy and then dumped Maddy on me.  Well, it was either I take Maddy or send her to the pound. She is cute--half Lab and half retreiver.

     

    Many of you ladies are younger, you will find than even when you hit fifty people think you are old and stupid and they can push up on you.

    @Mammateeroll --And despite all the shit I am talking, I do not want any drama.  I want her and her husband to go to prison.  Will that happen?  I hope so, but I am a realist.  I do know the amount of money she stole from me amount to a felony here in Texas. The bank wanted her description today.

    I hope the cops put her ass in prison and I will do whatever I need to do to pursue charges. But I will keep myself safe--she is not worth any drama.

    Ladies I live in Houston in the Galleria area. I have a wheelchair, but I can walk around without it.  In fact, I have not used it in many months.  I got up off my rear.

    In fact, I have gotten stronger to the point I can go to Randalls and shop. Although , I am a little weak when it comes to lifting heavy stuff and extended walks--I can still walk around the store and take care of myself including the laundry, mail, cooking and so forth.  Bottom line I refuse to be a victim and let anyone push up on me.

    If I seem bitchy, it is because a neighbor bitched to the Homeowners Associstion that I was not cleaning up after the puppy. I cleaning up, but for some reason he hates the fact that I now have a puppy.  The puppy by the way is a sweet dog, who really does not bark much. She is crated and being housebroken. 

    By the way, Rosie, the older dog, who is 11 prefers the term mature to elderly.  LMAO.

    Oh, ask your dh about he thinks about me getting Brinks for the condo.  I do not sleep well, so most nights, I am up into 2 or 3 but I like the idea of a security system. I had one before and while they can be a pain in the ass to alarm, it can you sleep when you know the alarm is set if any fucker comes in.

    Oh, the puppy belonged to my daughter who is 21 and dumped her on me. I took her because I did not want to see her taken away by the APSCA. Her name is Maddie and she is funny--chasing her tail around in the crate, and then yelping when she bites her own tail.
