    So I started reading Fifty Shades of Grey...   Having trouble picturing him in my mind..so just for fun.. who would you cast for the movie (which I guess is being made and casting hasn't been decided yet)?

    For any Days of our Lives fans, for some reason I keep picturing the actor who plays EJ DiMera (James Scott).  As disappointed as I was in the Twilight casting for Edward, I guess Robert Pattinson's name has been thrown around Hollywood (please no..) as well as True Blood's Ian Somerhalder (had to Google him, he's a contender for me!).

    i read the first book, DH saw on the news how it is so "bad" that our local library wont stock it on the shelf so now dh said i shouldn't read the 2nd one!!! i want to know so bad. i was crying at the end of the first book.

    I think Alexander Skarsgard (Eric from True Blood) would be so hot!!! He can pull off the controlling/caring aspects of Christian Grey's character!

    I think it is absolutely ridiculous that libraries are banning books in this day and age!!!! The only difference between this book and any other romance novel is that it gives you a different aspect of sexuality. It is not all romance and flowers. It is not a Hustler Magazine for fuck's sake!! I would never allow anyone to tell me what to read! This is not the 50's!! That is censorship!!!! The same thing that libraries used to do with The Diary of Anne Frank and Huckleberry Finn!!!!

    if RPats or Ryan Gosling was cast as Christian Grey, I would probably go burn down a theatre somewhere or something. He (neither one!) isn't even close to sexy enough to play Christian! I mean yeah they ARE good looking but Grey is sexy on a whole different level....smoldering and authorative, not gangly and pale.
    this man, on the other hand, would give me a heart attack as Christian Grey. Colin Egglesfield.


    what about Ana? anybody have any choices as to who you would like to see cast as Anastasia Steele? I don't know yet....she has to be pretty but not out of this world gorgeous....somebody simple, pretty but downplayed beauty you know?

    I can't picture Ana either.. and I'm horrible with knowing celebrities names anymore.  Brunette/girl next door type for sure.  I'll have to think on that one.

    has anyone ever watched the CSI episode with Grisom and the dominatrix lady? i think the book is no worse then that show, just the show doesn't show what was going on. but everyone know's what was happening

    O.K., I finally broke down and bought the book...so far I'm not terribly impressed.  If you're going to write smut, don't take so long to get to it with poorly written prose that drones on and on...hopefully now that the first sexy scene is done with, she get to it a little faster...

    I think the undeniable attraction and love at first sight (while not understood or known to either character)  is the draw for  most women.   He clearly doesn't understand his need to be involved in Ana's life but he also can't deny he feels this need.  The book jokes about him almost being stalkerish but you can't deny its an intriguing magnetic pull the author has created.  I don't know about others but after the first book it left me sad and empty.  I felt the pain she described.  I've never reacted to a book that way.

    I was also thinking of that girl from the movie The Devil Wears Prada but her name escapes me at the moment. Dark brown hair, big smile & beautiful skin. Bc Christian was always talking about her beautiful skin in the books.
