Okay I thought I would start one today, it is hot here and I was up early.
Topic of the day: COFFEE!!
It is 25th anniversary of Starbucks in Canada so all tall coffees are 25 cents. So I went and got some obviously. So my question is with all us coffee drinkers.....What kind of coffee do you drink? Decaf or caf? A certain brand or what ever strikes your fancy? Flavors? No flavors??
Go!

I drink the reindeer blend from caribou coffee or the cheap "master chef" it's usually feast or famine so when I can afford it I like the good stuff. ~O)not my chair, not my problem
-
Guess I'm swinging by Starbucks on my lunch hour. My main complaint is that their coffee is overpriced, can't complain about that if it costs a quarter!
I have a Keurig. Caffeinated all the way, otherwise I just drink water or tea. My favourite is Gloria Jean's Cappucino flavour, which unfortunately has been discontinued. Got another two and half boxes left and after that, it's arrivederci Gloria.

I'm not a big coffee drinker, I don't even own a coffee pot... But I do love Wawa coffee. They've got a great toffee and french vanilla. And most recently they got a frozen chocolate caramel one mmmm :)
-
It's only till 11 @fatchickonabike, so maybe coffee break?
-
I hate coffee! :-& Yeah, yeah, I know...I drink hot chocolate like some people drink coffee. Starbucks is Venti no-whip, extra-hot. I don't drink that Tim Hortons shit. At home I use either Bellagio or Camino. In the hot weather it's a Venti Green Tea Lemonade. I wish our Starbucks would come out with those behemoth sizes...for now I have to settle for Venti.Or I have tea - my favourite is chocolate chai - it's only Presidents Choice brand but it's really good. No caffeine so if I need that jolt I'll use regular chai.
-
@Thefinder, if I can swing it. Thanks!"The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shock-proof bullshit detector.” - Ernest Hemingway
-
My idea of coffee would be the Venti Mocha coconut frappacino I got the other day...cold and mostly sweet. LOL
My caffeine fix comes from soda...I know far worse for me than coffee. But by the time I get done adding the flavored creamer to my coffee it's almost as bad.
I enjoy tea during the winter and when I'm sick. I love green tea with honey and lemon.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out! -
mmmmmmm coffee ~O) My fav in my Keurig is the Van Houtte french roast, yummy! I like my coffee with kick to it, no weak stuff here :)
-
I usually buy Folgers breakfast blend, but lately its whatever is cheap. I only drink it with International Delight Southern butter pecan creamer. I also love Tim Hortons iced capps ~O)Stay away from my chocolate and nobody gets hurt!
I think I like who I am becoming... -
Starbuck is the best… too far for me right now. I settle for the Folgers, classic roast! Extra coffemate creamer!. My DH always jokes that I like a little coffee with my CREAMER… yea that the way I like it!.Hate the flavor of hazelnut or vanilla in my coffee… don't you dare mess with my coffee because I will cut you! That's how serious I am about my coffee. ;)
-
-
I drink caf. Lately it's been folgers columbian blend or green mountain fair trade select columbian blend for the keurig. Depends which is cheaper. I love caribou morning blend though. It's just never on sale.Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile.. -Grateful Dead<3
-
Die hard maxwell house fan french roast
No sugar just half & half
The more caffeine the bettermy mother used to sing me a song. It went like this: "Life is short, life is shit, and soon it will be over. -
( @birdie happy anniversary! :-) )I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
Caffeine all the way. I drink MJB coffee. My mom drinks it, so it's the type of coffee I grew up on when I started drinking coffee as a young mother. So now it's the only coffee that really tastes all that good to me.
I love going to Starbucks and other coffee houses, I just can't afford the coffee. If I could afford it I would drink there all the time!!!
-
Happy anniversary!!!!! @birdiemy mother used to sing me a song. It went like this: "Life is short, life is shit, and soon it will be over.
-
I am using Tassimo Breakfact blend discs. Makes a 14 ounce coffee, which I have with either International Delight French vanilla or Butter Pecan. One of these a day is my limit as my IBS doesn't like more than that amount of caffeine.Rest of the day is water or tea - Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime, Decaf Earl Grey, or Chocolate Chai tea.
-
Oh caffeine.... The only reason i exist. Right now in my Keurig Im drinking Coconut Mocha but my favorite is Wolfgang Pucks Jamaica Me Crazy :)
-
the closest thing I drink to coffee is iced capps from tim hortons. I looove starbucks but we dont have it in my town :(*ad astra per alia porci*
my nuts hang like there aint no curfew -
The cheapest coffee out there, then I add a piece of cinnamon stick and a drop of vanilla extract to the grounds to make it super tasty.Although @Demanda has made me think I need to dig out my recipes and brew up a batch of chai! Nothing beats home made chai tea.See ya in another life, sister!
-
I love my coffee like I love my men strong . full of energy, tall dark and just sweet enough to not be bitter.
I cannot drink it anymore due to belly troubles and I miss it so much. I have a keurig that's collecting dust. My fav was green mountain fair trade and -
I drink the store brand stuff at home, caffeine is a must, regular flavor. I am in love with the almond joy creamer!! Not a starbucks fan, and there isnt one around me. I have dunkin donuts. I usually get vanilla or toasted almond. Its funny that this is the topic for the day, i got up made coffee, while it was brewing i opened windows and shades let the sun in. Let the cat out and coffee was brewed YAY! Grab my cup, put sugar in, coffee in, go to the fridge for cream and grab the gallon jug of ice tea, take the cap off and start to pour it in my coffee!!!!! ohhhhhhh noooooooooooo my head screams at me you almost ruined a whole cup of coffee. I get the creamer, coffee is safe and i think wow I wonder what the coffee talk subject is on SM this morning........sigh today I needed coffee to be able to make coffee.“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. @Curious: I put cinnamon in my grounds too, when I can't find plain cinnamon. But I like Kona...pure, Kona. and when I can afford it I mail order it from Hawaii.Summertime, I'll do an espresso grind (tossed the cheapo espresso machine) very strong on my drip and make a nice, sweet iced coffee w/ milk...in the biggest glass I can find...Bite me, cupcake!
-
southern butter pecan creamer???? I must try this!!!! off to google to see if its around me!“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. Tim Hortons: French Vanilla Capaccino
Starbucks; grande skinny white chocolate mocha, no whip
At home; sweetener and cold stone creamery creamer, we grind fresh from beans (usually Sumatra I think)
We also have a Kuerig and a Tassimo, we take our coffee seriously :D -
I'm also inspired with the cinnamon idea. I may take some zantac, rolaids and maalox just to try this.
-
I had to explain to DH about Tim Horton's. There's one on the base he works at and he had no idea that Tim Horton's is like the Dunkin Donuts/Starbucks of Canada.I'm as sexy as a burp mid-kiss. Watch out!
-
I have to be the ONLY Canadian I know who doesn't like Tims. I will avoid it at any cost, it's fucking nasty. Always tastes burnt and their cream is so heavy. Yuck. I'm also a soy drinker so any cream is heavy. But, I digress. I love me a good cup of Starbucks so I may have to swing by today, thanks for the info @Thefinder !!!! At home I drink perk coffee, Maxwell House Original Roast. It's OK, nothing special, but I need that damn caffiene! I am completely pea green with envy at all you Keurig/Tassimo owners. I want one but DH says not until our coffeemaker now kicks the bucket, the penny-pinching bastard. I may have to sabotage it soon :-w
-
TIMMIES !!!! French vanilla cap.. iced or hot. AddictiveIf not at home the one who as the cheapest.. the amount i drink... yeah i would be broke if i bought the good stuff. It is for me to know and you to dot dot dot.
-
@chlomom they make low acid coffee. Have you tried it?“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. Mmmmmm...Coffee.... When I lived in Japan, we could get iced coffee in every restaurant, and in cans in vending machines all over the place. I just recently came across an AMAZING Iced Coffee Recipe by Ree Drummond:
http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2011/06/perfect-iced-coffee/
It's cold-brewed, like iced tea, and because of it, it's super-smooth. I use Espresso-ground coffee, then add whole milk and a spash of Torani's Hazelnut Syrup.
I also make my own simple syrup (1c.sugar dissolved in 1c. hot water), and keep it in the fridge for sweetening. Don't have to worry about sugar granules not dissolving. Pure Heaven!
-
I'll flash chill my iced coffee: melt the sugar in the hot coffee, then pour it into my gravy strainer measuring cup, throw in some ice then pour it into the glass of fresh ice, the measuring cup straining out the "used" ice. That way it doesn't water down my coffee...it's the only way I drink it Italian style: strong and sweet.Bite me, cupcake!
-
Coffee...fully loaded.I grind my own beans for every pot. I own a coffee pot, percolator and a french press. I HAVE A PROBLEM.;;)I like Starbucks, eight o'clock, dunkin donuts or caribou.....sale or coupons, but it has to be whole bean. And, I am a creamer whore. I love flavored creamer...way too much.Mary :-)

In my keurig is my eko brew filter and the filter packs that they have now. The breakfast blend is amazing. But of the premade k-cups I use the Van Houtte and one called Jet Fuel. hubs loves the Revv coffee. I'm with a sugar and creamer, but it's gotta be the "itialian sweet cream" creamer. Everything else tastes too heavy.
hhmmmm I think it's finally time for that coffee I've been putting off.

No coffee for this momma - but I am addicted (litterally) to Timmy's Steeped Tea. XL (the new XL) with 2 milk, 1 sweetner. Every morning! It's the closest thing I can get to King Cole two-cup teabags from the East Coast. And, the horrible fact is that DS2, who doesn't talk, knows that we go to 'TEE' in the morning, he's gets a plain timbit every day :)
DH is a coffee drinker, was a Tim's guy, then went of to McDonalds when they had their big coffee push on. However, he's getting a brand new Keurig for Fathers Day/his birthday from DS and I and I'm trying to figure out what coffee to buy him!
Any suggestions?

Decaf coffee. Doctor's orders. I like the taste of coffee, but I can't have the full caffeine in regular coffee. If you're only drinking coffee for the caffeine, it comes in tablet form, just FYI.Carrabassett Coffee Company, Hazelnut Decaf with some kind of unsweetened cream or creamer. My favorite tea is Green Rooibos from Davidson's Tea. (Though, to be fair, it's not really "tea".) @irishlass It's decaf.

-
@Sidsmommy3: mail order it...www.sirwilfreds.com. They'll ship free if you buy I think 10 pounds at a time...they also have a Maui blend that's really good.Bite me, cupcake!
-
Im not a coffee drinker. I can't stand the taste!!! I buy DH folgers. Sometimes with A LOT of the flavored creamers I can choke down a cup.
-
@NorthernMommy: don't they have sampler packages for Keurig's?Bite me, cupcake!
-
@sunnymomma NO!! I'm getting on the Google immediately!! Omg and I thought I knew coffee. This website has saved me in so many ways.
