So since I can't find a freakin job, I have decided to get either an associate's degree or a certificate in medical administration. I have to do something, and I've wanted to go back for years anyway and I need to be able to get higher paying jobs. I really want to get my master's but I don't have the time or money. So maybe in a few years I'll get my master's but for now I need something quick. I'm leaning towards the certificate since its all online and I wouldn't have to worry about transportation and its cheaper. I still have to get a loan though which I hate to add to my debt but I'm not asking my parents for help, I'm doing this on my own. I'm hoping it will look good for court too. Thank u @Charlotte_Sometimes for getting me thinking about it

That's great news! I want to add I have an A.A and literally have spent four years trying to find a job around my area. I just found something. It adds to resume but really no job specific jobs for it.

Hey Chica! I'm so proud of you! And I think not asking for the money from your parents will help keep you motivated and prove yourself just that much more in the end.

You and I struggle. No question right now you're struggling more right now. But girl you were one of the first to reach out to me, offer me support and love when I first joined here. I hope I can be your cheerleader in this process.

Let me know what/if I can do anything! Much love!

the associates would be almost 24k and take 18 months, the certificate would be about 2k and i'm not sure exactly how long but a matter of weeks. if i didn't already have a degree the associate's would be the way to go b/c having just a certificate wouldn't mean much. but since i have a BA it will be like adding a specialization to my liberal arts degree. does that make sense? i'm excited, i wish i hadn't waited this long. i let it get to the point where i'm in poverty b/c of knowing a little bit about everything but not having a specific skill. i just finally accepted that my degree is worthless and i have to do something or i'm never going to have a decent paying job. i kept telling myself that i would go back for my master's but i put it off so long that now i'm at the point i can't wait any longer i have to do something now to be able to take care of my daughter. i can't wait 4 years for a good job or even 2.
