    I've collected dolls forever, Madame Alexander baby dolls and Barbie.  I also collect First Editions of books...anybody else collect anything?  I was at the Del Mar Fair one year, and they have a section for "collections."  It was pretty interesting what some of them were...one was a collection of drug company crap (of which I have a lot too...) like pens, cups, pads of paper, etc. for different medications.

    I used to collect trolls! I think i did a thread about this a million years ago! It was really interesting. I dont collect anything anymore, just grey hairs :(

    I will collect anything with bats, Batman, llamas, turtles, lizards, mushrooms, monsters, zombies, Pee Wee Herman and random, strange oddities that intrigue me.

    @batti @bellabefana trolls are AWESOME!! My sisters and I used to put streaks in their hair with hair dye. It was pretty cool! 

    Oh, you could say that I collect Playmobil? I LOVE it. B is too young for it and i could sit and play with it for hours!

    Ohh I had a ton of trolls when I was younger too @irishlass! I also had a pretty extensive Mickey Mouse collection in HS I prolly still have a lot of it just packed away.
    DH collects shot glasses and has several hundreds

    I still have a huge collection of trolls, when I was young I even had a troll club! I would make my friends bring money as their "dues" and buy trolls with it. Haha I have a huge collection of Pez dispensers as well from my childhood. Now I collect purses, shoes, makeup, shot glasses and candles. I'm also just beginning to collect wrinkles, cellulite and spider veins.
    My daughter has just started collecting special edition barbies and we've been collecting Disney movies for her since she was born.

    Shot glasses from anywhere I went. Friends and family used to get them for me, too. I chucked them when we bought our house right before we got married.

    I still collect new and back issues of Weird NJ, as well as faery themed books (I.e. Brian Froud, Amy Brown...)

    @BellaBefana I'd love to see your Barbies! I have my old ones packed away in the attic somewhere. I'd bet they are all naked and some have some pretty odd looking hair cuts. I would butcher those bitches, I loved them but apparently I liked to cut the hair more.

    How could I forget my biggest collection? It's all over the place...the bathroom, play room, my car! I collect seashells and sea glass every time I go back home. The mini collection in my car has been there since college....blue, green, brown, pale turquoise, clear, and pale lavender sea glass, bits of purple clam shells, scallop shells, Angel's wings, oyster shells, moon snail shells...it's a little bit of home no matter where I roam. :-)

    @PhDMommy I collect elephants too. It started when I was younger and the circus came to town and I jokingly said I wanted an elephant as a pet. Now everyone and their mother buys me elephants for every holiday and every time they go out of town or just when they see one they think is cute, I have 5 boxes of elephant figurines in storage, plus stuffed animals up the wazoo. They are cute, but enough is enough.

    I also have a thing for Betty Boop. I don't have as much of a collection, I have a few figurines, some decals on the side of my van, seat covers, a steering wheel cover and floor mats. People still buy me elephants instead of Betty Boop.

    Anybody have beanie babies? Remember the beanie baby craze years ago? I have a TON of them, so does my dh. They used to say, collect them, they will fund your retirement or your kids college. What a load of bs!! They are sitting in the basement, collecting dust. I also collect carnival glass. It is beautiful, to me.

    I collect carousel horses. They are hard to come by now. I wish I could find more. I have a curio cabinet full. Also roses. In high school I collected keychains. I had a lot!

    @vintkey78:  I love carousel horses...there's also a miniature line of beautiful horses that are decorated in different themes...I wish I could remember, but I think they're called Painted Horses, and they have full size sculptures of them in public areas around here and New Mexico, I think...

    CDs: mostly jazz, classical, classic rock and soul.  I still have some of my LPs, but I've gradually been replacing them with CDs (digitally remastered for better sound, bonus tracks, more extensive liner notes).  Hope to have an Ipod or something similar in the not too distant future.

    I also have quite a few books.  Friend got me a Kindle not long ago and am just starting to use that.

    some of them are even higher...I remember there was a scam regarding beanie babies...some dumb shit mortgaged her house to pay like $60K...yes you read that correctly...to buy a particularly valuable one, she got swindled.  I'm sorry, but if you have to take out a loan for something as dumb as a beanie baby, 1) you deserve what you get, and 2) you can't fucking afford it, let it go.

    That being said, if you want to sell them, I suggest buying a book about them, listing the values at different conditions.  I know they have these books for Barbies, other collectible dolls, so I'm sure they have them for Beanies...then auction them on eBay...
