Scared cancer is back

    My dad had the upper lobes of his right lung removed in January from cancer. He was lucky and didnt have to have chemo or radiation, just the surgery. He had to have a routine 6 month CT scan and it showed some "cloudy" areas on the lower lobe now. They scheduled him for a PET scan July 3rd to see if the cancer has returned. I am freaking out, mainly because he still coughs horribly and still has no appetite. He only weighs about 130... he used to weigh 160ish. I cant lose my daddy :( Please keep him/us in your thoughts/prayers.

    Will do, hon.  I watched my dad go through that, and I wouldn't wish it on anybody, especially a daddy.  It doesn't matter how old we get, we'll always need them...

    Prayers are headed your way! Been through it myself with colon cancer, 3 times. Hearing that it has come back was the hardest thing ever! Can I ask his first name, I will add him to the prayer chain at my church too! If not, I totally understand :)

    Prayers sent out . I have had two uncles that had lung cancer. Ok to be fair Bill had lung , liver, brain and skin cancer at the same time ! His wife ( my aunt ) had breast cancer twice.
