    TCOYF = Taking Charge of Your Fertility (a book)

    BBT = Basal Body Temperature

    EBF = Exclusively breast feed

    BFP = Big Fat Positive (pregnancy test positve)

    My period is almost a week 'late', and I am exclusively breastfeeding my 4 month-old daughter.
    I lent my copy of the book to a girl friend, and I don't want to ask her for the book back, or have her look it up for me, or tell her that I might be pregnant, because she has been trying to conceive for years.

    LOL!! Thanks for the translation @Love!!

    OP, are you hoping to be pregnant? The only way to know for sure is a test! Good luck!

    From what I remember - if it is exclusive it works but the problem is mostly when they start eating and you bf a little less but either way only works about 6 months, some more, some a little less. The problem is that you will ovulate BEFORE having your period - and unless you check your ? cream's thickness ? every day (I have no idea what that is called or too tired to remember) it would be impossible to tell when one is going to pop an egg... oh but you've been having your period? regularly? then you are ovulating and you should get a test.

    After birth I bled for a longtime then it stopped and I got my period but then with the breastfeeding, my period stopped until around six months but I haven't had it again and dd is 10 months.

    on a side note, my gf who is trying is on day 24 post ovulation :) she refuses to test but i hope she is! she will be a great mom.
