gut feeling

    So here I am 3am and have been awake for a hour now. I woke up with that somethings not right feeling in the pit of my stomach. The Dh, kids, and dog are snoring away. The cars and house are all locked. But something is just nagging at me.....I hate this feeling its generally not a good omen. Anyone else here get those gut feelings?

    Yes! I get that too. Normally, it is associated with someone close to me. I *have* to call them & make sure they are ok. But most of the time, I find out something bad is going on with them right then. It's kinda creepy.

    My DS20 gets these feelings.  Sometimes it is something bad but minor.  Rarely it's something bad that is serious (he had this feeling right before his younger brother and I were in a car accident years ago).

    Yes to the gut feeling and  yes to dreams that come true.  I have had the gut feeling for a while now so I dunno what the heck is going on.  Maybe something BIG is coming

    I get those feeling & they're rarely ever wrong. Last time it hit me, not an hour later my mom called to tell me she had breast cancer! So when I get those feelings, I'm always on edge waiting for someone to call with bad news! :-SS

    i have the dreams, if i dream about someone i haven't seen in a long time i know i'm going to see or hear from them and it probably won't be good news. also if i just randomly start thinking about someone for no reason i know something's up

    Some people are more in tune with this, but we all have it. It's part intuition/instinct, part connection. We can have deep, subconscious connections to certain loved ones, so when something is wrong, they are .. sending that message to you, so to speak.
    My closest connection is my bff. We read each other like a book. We barely have to talk, and when we do its often weird nonsense that only makes sense to US. We both sense when something is up and call/text each other about it.
    You know the whole cliche about people in love finishing each others sentences?? There's something to that!
    Oh, and when you come on to SM to post and you see that someone was already in your head and posted what YOU had wanted to say??

    I didn't get back to sleep this morning til around 4am gut feeling still there..... mine are rarely wrong. Hoping all is well with the extended family. Something is nagging at me and is just not letting go. Last time it was this bad was when I was a flight attendant and didn't want to go to leave to go to work (live in Oregon based in Denver talk about a commute to work!) Next morning was 9/11. I hate this so much I'm going to be distracted all day til I figure it out.

    And to find out my Gut feeling was my DGrandmother fell out of her RV yesterday.  One more to find out and hopefully feeling is gone for a bit.

    I get them and I'm like 99% accurate. I'm weird though. I also answer the phone before it rings and I already know who's calling. I do the same w texts.

    I am pretty accurate too... On Wed I was super tense and depressed, found out my gpa passed away at 10:10am

    I get that all the time. It usually freaks me out, and I'm super duper nice to my kids, and dh. Just in case, you know...

    I used to get them. I'm not even remotely as tuned into nature as I used to be so I assume that's why I don't get them as often or as strong anymore.
