Confession #194933

I work 2 days a week and my MIL babysits for DS2. She is a sweet lady and it's great that she watches him and saves us from paying for childcare, but she is late EVERY time!!! I'm always late to work and I hate it!

#194933Couldn't you tell her they need you to start coming in 30 min early? Then even when she I late, you won't be :) -
Ooooh that's a great idea! I don't normally advocate the telling stories, but you gotta do whatcha gotta do sometimes.I have to lie to MYSELF to be on time LOL No, for real, when I make appointments, I log them into my calendar at least 30 minutes earlier than actual. It's a must for me.
-
We do that with SIL. We tell her everything is starting an hour before it really is because she's always at LEAST that late.
@Love, every clock in my house is set forward 15 minutes just so we move a little faster...we're much more likely to make it on time that way.

Same here! I even told the girl who does the schedule at work to make sure to put me down for 30 min before she wants
Me here in order to assure I'm not late :) -
I ALWAYS say I have to leave 1/2 hour earlier when someone is coming to my home.....gives time to stop and get gas, take a 10 minute break in the car, make sure they know what you actually want fed to the kiddos when you're gone.....amazing how fast it flies by, but the extra 1/2 hour is entitled!!!

As a person who is ridiculously punctual, my head would literally EXPLODE if my sitter did this. This confession is making me twitch!Get me a damn beer.

My alarm clock is set ahead 15 minutes. Good luck, @Dreamnofpalmtrees!

My mother says my father lied to her about every dinner engagement or party for that same reason. He always bumped the time up by 30 minutes to an hour so they could actually be on time. Guess I got the tardy gene from her!
I also set my clock forward 15 minutes and in my sleepy stupor I "forget" that I've done this, so I think it's actually 7:15 when it's really 7:00 and I am more likely to actually GET UP.

I want to be like you @nosohotmomma. I'm late for everything since becoming a mama! I haven't been on time for a damn thing in 2.5 years. Call me the conductor of the Hot Mess Express.

@sammie, I ride that train all the time! Had I known u were the conductor, I would have asked for a discount fare since Im always a day late AND a dollar short lmao
