… surely never bought their kids ice cream after summer camp.

Money well spent, indeed.

Awe sweet!

Funny story. Took the girls swimming last week and as we pulled up to the pool an ice cream truck drove past. I said “awe too bad the ice cream truck is out of ice cream.” My mom asks how I know. I say “cause the musics playing” with the consiratory look mothers give each other. Apparently she missed that day in mommy-school because she gives me the you’re-dumber-than-dirt-look and said loudly “that’s not what the music means, it means he DOES have ice cream.” I, of course, respond with the look of death, then laugh and tell her she’s slow. It took her a minute to catch on LOL.

I still remember the fun of going with mom to DQ for a cone, or the old root beer stand. ;)

I have the same superhero shirt in a much bigger size, but no ice cream. Time to stop working and take a break.

LOL, I agree with Tanya. For the longest time my little shopaholic daughter was told that the store lights were on so the people in the store could clean it! It was the only way to drive by without her pleading to go shopping!

This is going to sound funny but they are getting big! We’ve never met and I don’t know them personally but just from the pictures I’ve seen over the course of the year.

Ice Cream always makes everything better. =) This reminds me of mine and my 5 year old sons conversation a few weeks back:

“Mom? how much does it cost for a house?”
“Depends, something like two hundred and fifty thousand dollars or so.”
” wooh, oh my gosh! Rreealllyyy? that’s a whole freaking lot of numbers!! I never heard of that number before. Maybe you can just get me ice cream instead!”

Kids are simple and will always be happy if you buy them Ice Cream. =)

Love it. Its so true. I also brider is a great mom tool. I think we all do it just not aware of it. candy to go on the potty a reward to clean.
When you have to get tons of shoping done tell the kids be good and we will go out for ice cream you dont even have to do that just do it and its a nice reward and cause it to be a postive thing for next time

We had the ice cream truck come to my youngest’s bday party at the park! We don’t have an ice cream truck where I live so the kids just stood in shock at the REALLY loud truck for a minute. It turned out to be a HUGE hit! That was our gift to him. Besides the party and all.
Your kids are ADORABLE btw!

The first location that my daughter was able to identify, outside of our house, was the Rita’s down the street from us. I think that should give you some idea of how often we visit there. Man, I could go for a gelati now.

What you say is so true. Sometimes when it is just too hot and gross for anything I declare its ice cream for dinner night. Nothing like some blizzards at the DQ to make you feel that all is right with the world.
