Remember when I told you that my book was going to be a big sister and people thought I was pregnant and I had to explain that, no, the BOOK was the one whose family was growing, and it ended up being a not-so-great way to announce a book deal?
Well, consider this your grand gender reveal…
Motherhood Comes Naturally (And Other Vicious Lies) focuses on the lies we’re all told or believe to be true about motherhood. That parenting strengthens a marriage. That it gets easier. That having kids keeps you young. That you are your own harshest critic. That mothers would never dream of hurting their children. In other words, the whole load of crap.
If you thought Confessions was good birth control, get ready. Miley, I’m talking to you.
She’s (or he’s?) due April 9th and available for pre-order already. I really think you’re going to like her.

I am such a fan of your book/books now. You are a ballsy Awesome truth-teller and Much more than apparently The Only stereotype of a woman they could find to be on the cover. I am assuming that this is supposed to be like you or every mommy that has calves smaller than her little daughter’s leg. Those mommies couldn’t make this comment, because they are working the 3rd shift as Anime Characters in video games. Ughh. Why ruin the substance inside by masquerading with sexstance outside? Even the daughter is pulling an “Angelina Jolie” pose on the front. But the boy kiddos are normal and appear not to have thrown-up their lunches. Wow?, Are we Not.Even.Sort of.Trying to.Kind of.Get.Past.The.Place.Women.Are.Always.Placed? What about the awesome post you did about being in the picture, more pictures, even if, Even If, you’re not perfect? I took that one to heart, and now I will take my heart and bottom and thighs to Pilates class. Well done and Not so well done. I know it’s “Marketing” and it’s the “Norm” nowadays, but can Norm and Marketing go down a block to the bar where they always know your name and have a beer with their old friend Integrity??? There has got to be something that trio could agree on…
