I wore this to Transportation Day at the boys’ school. It’s a day where every kind of truck and car and bike you can imagine show up in the parking lot and the kids get to climb in and around everything. It’s kind of insane, but the kids love it. The highlight: A toss up between the police helicopter landing on the grass and Batman showing up in his Batmobile. I mean, really, what’s not to love?
The outfit was perfect. I could seriously live in this sweater. I think I’ll buy a backup for when this inevitably gets stained, ruined or lost…
The bracelet was a little jingly for me, but I do think it’s cute.
Again, with the big earrings. At least I’m consistent.
And, the boys. I’m hoping they get this truck and motorcycle crap out of their systems now.

i see you holding the scarf (not wearing it… probably too hot, again?)… i’m thinking that you needed a punch of color around your neck… so maybe instead of the scarf a long necklace next time? or a tank with color?

A long necklace would have been perfect. The scarf was just a bit much with the detail around the neck and I wanted to show that off.

I hardly ever use it. When we bought the house, we thought we’d be out there all the time, but we really never are. It is really nice out there, though. For you, though, I’ll sit out there with coffee.

I love that cardi too. I have a similar, but much longer one, in blue that I got from the clearance rack for $6 at Old Navy a while back. It’s so awesome.

I gotta admit I love the look of the red jangly bracelet. But I write for a living and I just can’t seem to comfortably type on a keyboard with a big ole bracelet. so big bracelets always wind up being things I wear in the car and then set on the desk once i’m at work.
I can’t wear rings or bracelets at all when I’m on the computer. Cute for going out, but it came off the minute I came home.

Love watching all of these outfits! Especially b/c you are a curvy woman. 2 years post baby, and I still haven’t managed to lose the last 25lbs of the 60 I gained. But watching you & seeing how fabulous you look reminds me that I can’t wait around until i can again buy a size 6, but rather dress the body I have now. I swear, a lightbulb has literally gone off. Im so inspired.
Swimsuits, however? Another story. A sad one.

HA! I have three sons, and trust me, they NEVER get the truck and motorcycle crap out of their systems. Even at 22, 21 and 16 the sound of a roaring bike or truck brings them off the couch as quickly as the blondes next door sunbathing. It’s a guy thing. Good luck.

Tomorrow is Heavy Truck Day downtown. It’s such a good time and free too. It’s over by Pier Six I think.
My boys are a bit older than yours and the car and truck craziness hasn’t stopped yet. It’s more understated, since they more concerned about being cool than they used to be, but a fancy motorcycle still turns their heads.

I love this outfit too! Simple & comfy, yet very stylish with added accessories. Layers are always great for this time of the year. Ya never know when it will rain and get chilly…or the sun will come out and you’ll be sweatin’ your tail off. Gotta be prepared.
