Modern Bird Studios Giveaway {CLOSED}
I’m always on the lookout for cool things to do with the my favorite photos of the kids. Something fun. Something bold. Something unique. But, one can only have so many canvas prints, and everything else is just so damn pricey. So, my pictures remained in frames and I remained frustrated. Until one day, Modern Bird Studios offered to create a piece for me and ended my quest for the perfect piece of art.
Modern Bird Studios is owned by Gregg and Megan Deal. It “was born about three years ago as an experiment he had bouncing around in his head. Gregg has always liked to push the boundaries within his art, whether playing with space or combining traditional and non-traditional mediums. He decided to create a piece that utilized technology and painting. Gregg combines his original urban-style with photography, graphic design and traditional painting to create handmade, original art pieces.”

I love all the tips! This is awesome! I love funky ways to display your kids! I love unusual pictures! Taking the traditional pictures to me is so boring! I am looking for a picture to put in my room of my kids…this would be cool as I could choose a color to coordinate.

Oh I’ve seen these before and loooved them. Have never pulled the trigger though. Yours turned out awesome! Not sure which photo I would use…maybe a shot I took of all three kids’ bare feet. It’s the header on my blog.

I would use our family portrait with the dog biting his “dad’s” face.
I would have to pick a picture of my son and his dog, or a picture of my daughter and her best friend, or a picture of our family, I just don’t know!
What a cool idea! This would fit in perfectly with my modern style. I have so many photos that I’d love to see like this, so I’d have a hard time choosing. It would probably be a photo of my son picking grapes at one of our favorite Virginia wineries.

I think that’s my favorite Modern Bird creation yet. I want to win this contest.
I am looking at a picture on my desk from when my daughter was two weeks old. I finally got her to sleep, laid her on the bed & fell asleep beside her. An hour later my husband came home and snapped the picture. It’s my favorite picture of the two of us together, even though we’re not looking at the camera, no one is smiling and I look like hell.
The picture I’d use… so tough to decide, but either one of my Godson or the man and I! ;)

I would definitely love one of these. I can think of a couple photos that I would love to use from last fall, but looking at my pictures and thinking about it made me realize that I need to take my girls to the park or the zoo for a fun photo shoot for more recent pictures. What a neat idea! One of my favorite pics is one wherein the processing went awry and it came out like … a colored negative? My all-time favorite of my kids probably doesn’t have enough contrast to do this justice, but it shows the two of them when they crawled into a big plastic Barbie house – one kid on each floor.

Hmmm, I have a couple of really cute pics I would possibly use. I took one when she was 3 months ol where she has a hoodie with ears on. She was looking at me with the cutest face and she has a drool bybble hanging from her chin. The other is a professional pic that involves a hot pink tutu!

If I were to be lucky enough to win this fabulous prize, I would have to decide between a photo of my mom, dad and brother when we were a young, happy family or a precious picture I have of a close-up of my face happily squeezed between both of my grandmothers – one of who is no longer with us. I don’t have the picture yet, but my family is going to Topsail Island, NC this summer for a beach vacation. This is the location of our honeymoon, so we are excited to bring our kids there 8 years later! I’d get a great pic of us near the water, shell collecting, or splashing.

I love the blog, especially the photo post, such helpful tips. I have 2 photos that I’d have to decide betweeen 1.) My husband and I visited the north shore of Hawaii last year and have the most amazing shot at the entry sign looking over the sea 2.) My dog and her many antics. She’s an English Bulldog and as you can imagine the manerisms and facial expressions I capture on film are ever so sweet.
Okay, I am torn- – - here is another shot, I suppose if I am picked I’ll let the artist decide- – - I’d love to bring my hubby to tears like just thinking of this has to me :)

I would spend hours and days reviewing all my photos. I would go back and forth between new and old ones. After much agonizing I would finally take a photo or three. Once I had the new photos, I would probably go back and review the old photos. I would eventually make a decision. A photo with all three kids smiling or at least 2 out of 3 smiling. No photo will be perfect, right?

Oh my, I don’t know which photo I would use! Most likely one I took of my daughter’s last game as a cheerleader (she’s a senior this year)…or one of our beloved doggie, who is getting up there in age. Those are fabulous!
There is a picture of my sister which we all love. It’s a spontaneous dancing pick where she looks like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, except she is turning and her skirt is flowing around her. If I won I’d want that picture so I could give it to my parents as a gift.

Beautiful! I would use a picture I have of my son at the beach, similar to yours. He’s playing in the sand with the waves in the background – such a peaceful photo. And such a reminder that he loves the beach so much.
Although I have another photo in mind too, and its of my husband and son fishing off the dock at the lake. It’s of their backs, tall dad on the left, little son on the right – it’s those moments that really make you thankful for what you have as a parent.

There is a picture of my daughter on a tire swing with her long golden hair flying in the sunset. It’s so pretty, and was done by a friend with a professional camera. So the quality is great and would be good to use for something like this. Hope I’m lucky! :)
