What do you do when your nine-year-old hands you her dolly and tells you to babysit? You take that dolly with you to work, of course. The life of a nine-year-old ain’t easy. Sometimes someone needs to step up and babysit your dolly so you can get a few hours on your own to catch up on your coloring and cartoons. One dad realized this, and took his daughter’s dolly to work with him — as he should.

Nine-year-old Joselyn is a lucky girl. Her doll “Abbie” really wanted to go trucking with her father, Trent McCain — Abbie’s “grandfather” obviously. She asked her father if he’d take her doll and the road and he obliged. “We decided to have a little fun and post pictures of our travels,” her dad explains in a post on his company’s Facebook page. “I didn’t want Joselyn thinking I threw Abbie in the sleeper and forgot about her.”

“We were loading wheat from our farm to deliver to town, so I took Abbie with me,” McCain told Scary Mommy. “The look on my fathers face was priceless when I climbed out of the semi with Abbie that morning. I told him ‘your granddaughter asked me to babysit’ I decided for fun to take a picture with my father and Abbie to show Joselyn that we were actually babysitting as she asked.”

Moral of the story: if your nine-year-old hands her your dolly, you babysit her. Just tell her not to let her “mom” know you fed her Coke and Slim Jims for lunch.
