Two women come forward with sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump after being disgusted by Sunday’s debate

On Sunday, we all watched as Trump tried to make light of the tape that surfaced last Friday, that had him admitting to repeated sexual assault on a hot mic. Since the lewd audio, Trump and his supporters alike have been quick to point out that the awful things he said “were just words.”

It turns out they weren’t.

74-year-old Jessica Leeds was watching the debate, and after years of silence decided she could no longer keep her story to herself. After watching the debate and feeling like she “wanted to punch the screen,” she contacted the New York Times.

She told the New York Times that more than 30 years ago when she was traveling on a business trip, she ended up next to Mr. Trump in the first-class cabin on a flight bound for New York. They had never met before.

“About 45 minutes after takeoff, she recalled, Mr. Trump lifted the armrest and began to touch her. According to Ms. Leeds, Mr. Trump grabbed her breasts and tried to put his hand up her skirt.”

“He was like an octopus,” she said. “His hands were everywhere.”

She fled to the back of the plane. “It was an assault,” she said.

She’d told the story to just four other people close to her, and the NYT confirmed it with all of them.

Yet another woman was watching the debate on Sunday night and made similarly ill by Trump’s smug denial that he’d ever done anything wrong. He was asked during the debate if he’d ever done the things he’d been caught bragging about on that tape, to which he responded, “No. I have not.”

The woman is Rachel Crooks. In 2005 she was a 22-year-old receptionist at a real estate firm in Trump tower in Manhattan. She told the NYT that she ran into Mr. Trump in an elevator, where “they shook hands, but Mr. Trump would not let go, she said. Instead, he began kissing her cheeks. Then, she said, he ‘kissed me directly on the mouth.'”

“It was so inappropriate,” Ms. Crooks told the NYT. “I was so upset that he thought I was so insignificant that he could do that.”

If what these women are alleging is true, Trump was speaking from experience on that hot mic. They weren’t the empty words of a pathetic session of “locker room talk,” they were recollections of a serial assaulter of women.

And the thing is, anyone who’s been studying his mannerisms, the way he speaks of women, the way he routinely demeans them — is not surprised by this information at all.

And there’s even more news of disturbing footage tonight. CBS reports, “In an ‘Entertainment Tonight’ Christmas feature in 1992, Trump looked at a group of young girls and said he would be dating one of them in ten years. At the time, Trump would have been 46 years old.
