Cursing at a baby and threatening a flight attendant will definitely get you kicked off a plane

Traveling with a baby is definitely stressful and exhausting — but for the baby’s parents. Other people need not weigh in. One woman learned that the hard was when she was removed from a Delta flight after absolutely losing her shit over being seated next to a mom and baby.

Marissa Rundell was traveling with her eight-month-old son, Mason, from JFK to Syracuse when she said the woman started throwing a fit about having to sit next to the kiddo. Rundell caught part of the interaction on video and posted it to Facebook.

“She was the last one to get on the plane and I was in the second to last row of the plane. She came to the back and slammed her bags down. She said, ‘This is fucking ridiculous. It’s bullshit having to sit in the back of the plane,'” Rundell told The Daily Mail. “I said please watch your language and she told me to shut the fuck up. That’s when the flight attendant came over and asked what the problem was.”

Rundell said the woman complained to a flight attendant about sitting next to Mason, whom she described as “a crying baby” (from the video, you can hear that he was not crying at all). Also, this seems like a good time to reiterate that this was a flight from JFK to Syracuse. That flight is barely over an hour long. If you can’t withstand being around a child that might cry for one whole hour, you probably shouldn’t even be leaving your house.

In the video, the woman continues huffing and generally throwing a tantrum as she moves to a seat across the aisle from Rundell and Mason. She’s offered a seat on the next flight, which she refuses. She then asks the flight attendant for her name, and replies, “Thank you, Tabitha. You may not have a job tomorrow.”

That’s the straw that breaks the poor, patient flight attendant’s back. She turns to her colleague and says she wants the woman off the flight. And seeing that irate, petty woman’s demeanor completely change as she realizes that there may be very grown-up consequences for her very childish actions is a sight to behold. She becomes contrite and apologizes to Tabitha for being “really stressed out,” but nothing can save her at this point. She’s getting the boot.

“Ten minutes later she came back and got her things and was again swearing up a storm saying they will all regret kicking her off the plane,” Rundell said. “I thought it was funny how she was acting like a child throwing a tantrum.”

Maybe that part isn’t super funny, but seeing someone get some instant karma for acting like a giant, entitled asshole definitely is.
