Never break up in earshot of someone with an internet connection and a Twitter account — this is the important lesson one very hungover couple is learning today. Almost as important as the lesson, “Don’t subject your co-passengers to insanely personal arguments when they are trapped on a plane.” As if flying wasn’t bad enough.
It all started when a woman who was subjected to the loud, drunken breakup of some seat-mates on her flight decide to make the best of a situation and crack herself up by live-tweeting the exchange.
The rest is history:
This guy on the plane just broke up w his girlfriend and she’s SOBBING pic.twitter.com/IW9QVYxXdB

Okay, so this is getting awkward. Beyond awkward. There may be some of you who feel bad for this girl right now, but need I remind you that all of the passengers around her are also participants in this break-up from hell because the couple is apparently yelling? That’s what capslock stands for, in case you didn’t know.
I feel no remorse for this couple right about now. I feel a ton of remorse for everyone sitting around them. Back to the shit-show:
This is the greatest plane delay I’ve ever had — Kelly Keegs (@keegs141) August 24, 2015
Oh my god, it’s a delay? These people are sitting on a non-moving plane? No. Just, no.
I know. The picture is a little over-the-top, but I don’t even care. Still too busy feeling bad for everyone around them.
This is a lesson in how not to act in public – ever. It’s basically a public service announcement. Thank you, Kelly Keegs, for reminding us all that drunk fights should only occur in the privacy of our own homes — not on flights where everyone in earshot has to hear them, and has nothing better to do than transcribe the entire thing to entertain the internet.
