Biden is only following 13 people — mostly his own aides — and Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen has hated on Donald Trump since long before most of us caught on to his vile awfulness. And long before he even ran for president. That’s why it’s not terribly shocking that the (former) toddler-in-chief blocked Teigen on his most cherished form of social media — Twitter.

You guys, we’re back to having a cool president who jokes with famous folks and has an overall jovial disposition. I can hardly believe our luck after four years of misery, but it’s happening. President Biden wasted no time in having some fun with his POTUS Twitter account and that fun involved a jokey request from Teigen. “hello @joebiden I have been blocked by the president for four years can I get a follow plz.”

Well. He delivered. Or his social media team did, whatever. This is hilarious.

Yup. The leader of the free world follows his wife, Vice President Harris (still feels amazing to type that — probably always will), several close aides, and Teigen. A total of only 13 people and she’s one of them.

The model and mom does have a legit concern though — that Biden will see her usual brand of tweets that might not always be POTUS-appropriate. But I think he’ll overlook it because it’s Chrissy and that’s just what you do.

Teigen and fam have been in D.C. for Biden’s inauguration (which included Chrissy accidentally spilling the beans about her husband’s surprise performance) and it seems like she’s deeply relieved to have Trump gone. Which, relatable.

“Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to have the guy with barely enough well done steak with ketchup fueled brainpower to power a lightbulb who doesn’t even know how to close an umbrella run the country. History will not be kind to you, you absolute psychopath. But I never was anyhow,” she writes.

But enough of Trump — behold this precious family enjoying the historic day.

I mean, stop it. They’re too much.

Hopefully this mutual follow situation is the start of a beautiful (and social media-fun) friendship between the Commander in Chief and the queen of Twitter. After four years misery, we all deserve to see it.
