Christina Aguilera’s makeup-free look is simply gorgeous

It’s indisputable fact that Christina Aguilera is a beauty in any and all forms, but the pop icon revealed a new look this week that has the internet totally agog. Instead of her usual glam, the singer sported a fresh, totally bare face for a photo shoot you have to see to believe.

Just look and try to remember to breathe. She’s simply stunning, right?

She. Looks. Amazing.

For reference, here’s how we usually see the former The Voice judge:

Um, still absolutely beautiful, obviously. This isn’t about saying one look is better than the other, and if a woman wants to wear makeup, by all means. But her freckles are giving me life and who on earth knew her skin had that ethereal glow without so much as a BB cream? She’s around my age and I’m suddenly feeling attacked because I haven’t looked that dewy since at least 2003.

““I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage,” she tells Paper. “I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.”

But she assures us her loyalty to makeup hasn’t totally died out. “I mean, I’m a girl that likes a beat face. Let’s not get it twisted.”

Whatever her reasons, we’re so glad she let the world see what she’s got going on naturally — because it’s really something.

Needless to say, the internet is on fire after seeing the amazing photos.

Her candid interview also included some thoughts on motherhood and how she hopes to raise her daughter.  “I don’t want to inject too much upon her as to how I’m choosing to live my life and what I’ve done in my career,” she shares. “I just hope I can allow what I’m doing to influence her to be her own person. That’s truly what I hope for her.” She tells Paper she will even let her dye her hair a “crazy” color if that’s what she wants. “I really want to make sure my children are both very confident in the sense that they know who they are and that they won’t be easily swayed by outside opinion.”

She’s already nailing it as far as being an example of confidence, and makeup or not, we’re here for it.
