DH of 11 yrs is gone at BIL’s house & won’t be home til late tomorrow. I hate that he gets to leave me & DC (8,2,4mo) & have fun, meanwhile I NEVER get to leave, have friends, have access to money, find who I am outside of mom. So tired of being alone.
Was subbing in a school for aide in class. 1st grader tells 23 yr old teacher she doesn't feel good. Teacher thought she was faking. My mom alarm went off. Told her she needed to go to nurse. I was right! Girl threw up immediately in nurse! Mom win!
I once sent my kiddo to school with a low grade fever, loaded up on Tylenol, so she could go on a field trip she was really looking forward to. I know it's wrong but it was a Friday and she had the whole weekend to rest and recover. Kinda guilty.
Very confused. DD14 who has never been an issue, good grades, etc---is apparently "acting up in class." Calling one of her teachers on Monday but WTF! Wondering if they have the wrong kid! I know HS changes things but acting up suddenly? Makes no sense.
I'm a teacher of 25 years. The most disrespectful kids are usually children of police officers, principals and other teachers. And usually these parents swear "Oh, I don't tolerate disrespect!" Well clearly you do if your kid acts how they do in class!
I don't get people who say their newborn baby looks like "XYZ". Most newborns don't look like anyone in my opinion even their parents, until they get older. They seldom have no striking facial features to resemble anyone. Feel crazy for thinking that.
I just realized that I may not have my parents around in the next decade. They’re both healthy and active, but they’re both over 75. I love them so much - I can’t even begin to imagine life without them.
We lost our Collie (Lassie) in November. Swore we were not going to get another dog for years - just too busy. Kids have always wanted a Corgi. We’d need to fence our huge yard, but dammit if I don’t want one too now!
