Hero dad shows up in class to sit next to his kid and make sure he behaves

According to family members, 17-year-old Brad Howard “likes to be the life of the party, which gets him in trouble from time to time.”

It tends to get him in the most trouble in his physics class, where his teacher is not here for it and pretty regularly calls Brad’s dad, Bradley Howard, to complain about his kid talking and goofing off in class, the family told Buzzfeed. So Dad Brad made a threat, and the next time Son Brad got into trouble in physics, he followed through…

“Friday is my only day off, so my wife wakes me up and says, ‘Brad, it’s time for you to go to school.’ I thought, ‘Oh no, what have I done?'” Dad Brad said. “I was a bit nervous being there among the teenagers. Mentally I hadn’t prepared to go into a situation like that.”

And Son Brad was even less prepared.

“I walked into class and he was just sitting there,” he told the Today show. “I was just shocked and then I was kind of embarrassed, but it was funny.”

Son Brad’s sister, Molli, received the selfie Dad Brad took in class, and shared it on Twitter, where it went viral because apparently this is something a lot of people can relate to.

Luckily for Brad Junior, Dad Brad doesn’t plan on making this a regular punishment.

“I pray it was a one-time thing,” he told Buzzfeed. “I don’t think I’d ever do it again.”

There you go, parents. If your kid is a jerk in class, all it takes is showing up one day.
